I have been struggling eating and eating healthy foods over the last couple of weeks. I really do not want to go back further to how I use to eat, that is eating junk food, takeaways, copious amounts of chocolate, processed junk and comfort eating.
Finding it challenging to stay motivated to actually prepare what I know helps me feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. Plus I have been feeling overwhelmed with other stuff happening in my life, which somehow makes it more challenging. The old unhealthy comfort eating thing is coming back. And I think I am getting concerned and scared about that. I so much do not want to go back to how I use to be. I was so sick. Plus I now have some physical things not right in my body , so I need to be more careful and mindful of what I eat. ( Pre cancer cells , high blood pressure )
I was eating really well since Febuary of this year, it’s just the last couple of weeks I haven’t.
So I would like to use this thread to help me be accountable to Beyond Blue people. So like a diary where I can post and report what I eat. And also any healthy eating tips, motivating strategies to help eat better or anything related to healthy eating for our bodies including our mental health.

I am so proud of you for losing 11kg MM. That is awesome. And it does feel good when you lose some weight. I have done it before, so I do know what it feels like. A conquering encouraging feeling that keeps urging you on. That is what happened to me before anyway.
I did read somewhere that you were lifting weights as well. At the gym. I also belong to a gym. I do want to get back into lifting weights. I was using the weights that are pin assisted, well I think that is what they are called. In your opinion are those sort just as good as the other ones?
Thankyou for your encouragement too MM. It means a lot. Like some one else to believe in me.

1..I feel fitter. I don't physically get tired as much.
2...I can wear clothes that I actually like and feel comfortable in. Plus there is often more choice of the styles I like.
3...As a protection from lifestyle illnesses such as diabetes, heart issues etc
4...to feel good about myself. I just don't like the way I look
5...I can do more in my life, because I would be able to move around better.

Those are definitely great reasons and motivators to want to lose weight.
When it comes to weight training I use both pin assisted and free weights. ATM I'm using free weights for my biceps, and shoulders but use pin assisted for my back for eg lat pulldown. I think they're both good.
I remember you going to the gym a lot in the past and I also remember you being self conscious about it but honestly most people are really only focused on themselves. I also find most people at gyms to have an upbeat mindset and would be encouraged and inspired by others in there transforming their bodies.
I wouldn't hold yourself back anymore because the positives outweigh the negatives and sometimes we just have to get out of our own way to reach our goals.
I want to see you succeed Shell because it is such a good feeling! And I know it's in you to want to do it!

The last few days, my meals have been healthy. But snacks well not good for me. I have been eating chocolate pretty much every day. A large block of it. I can already see my face getting fatter from it.
Today is a new day. So for brunch (doing intermittent fasting) I made scrambled tofu with onion and spinach in it. Grilled tomato and grilled mushroom. Some OJ and a hot chocolate.
Hot Chocolate
Oat milk ( organic oatley brand, from coles. Just had oats, sea salt, water)
Coconut sugar and vanilla
I struggle with taking vitamins and such. I do forget. I need to take them as blood tests show that I was low in a couple of them.
Vitamin B12...👍
Vitamin C👍
Fermented turmeric, ginger, black pepper 👍
Yet to take today
Vitamin D3
Complex vitamin B's
Ground flaxseed (omega 3)
Aged garlic
Green superfood powder
