I have been struggling eating and eating healthy foods over the last couple of weeks. I really do not want to go back further to how I use to eat, that is eating junk food, takeaways, copious amounts of chocolate, processed junk and comfort eating.
Finding it challenging to stay motivated to actually prepare what I know helps me feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. Plus I have been feeling overwhelmed with other stuff happening in my life, which somehow makes it more challenging. The old unhealthy comfort eating thing is coming back. And I think I am getting concerned and scared about that. I so much do not want to go back to how I use to be. I was so sick. Plus I now have some physical things not right in my body , so I need to be more careful and mindful of what I eat. ( Pre cancer cells , high blood pressure )
I was eating really well since Febuary of this year, it’s just the last couple of weeks I haven’t.
So I would like to use this thread to help me be accountable to Beyond Blue people. So like a diary where I can post and report what I eat. And also any healthy eating tips, motivating strategies to help eat better or anything related to healthy eating for our bodies including our mental health.

Hey MM.
Think I have put on weight as well. I am too scared to weigh myself.
Hey just wondering if your body would cope with a detox? Maybe for a week and just eat plants. I did read on your thread about how you are having issues with your body. Sort of clean out your system. Mmm just wondering is all

Hi Shelll
How are you going today? The coconut water sounds yum
I snacked on some watermelon and pink lady apples today, which was good. Glad I had that in the fridge. My back still hurts but the local organic store says they can deliver to me next week so I'll try get some more fruit and veg.
Might have some loving earth hot coco and a passion fruit to wind down tonight, have prepared some pasta salad for tomorrow although not sure how yum it will be cold.
Just trying to eat regularly, even if not perfect choices

Today has been an unusual type day in regards to eating. I have not felt particularly sad or anything. So that is so so good. But I have eaten chocolate, thinking it is the sugar addiction. It has been challenging because I am actually away at the moment and in this room was 4 mini chocolates which I have eaten. 2 tiny bags of mini choc chip cookies which I have eaten as well.
Breakfast... 2 mandarins. Green tea
Lunch... Roast vegetable salad with greens. Smoothie. (cafe food) and tasted so yummy
Dinner... Mandarines, raspberry tea, dried apricots

Hi Shelll
Nice that you're enjoying some teas and smoothies, that's so great and calming. I have unusual food days too. I think I may know those little chocolate chip cookies - do they come in bags? i like those a lot. Hope you are having a good time away. Is it nice to get a break?
The pasta was great I had it for dinner, had some mushrooms and cheese.
I'm meant to be taking painkillers for my back but have run out so need to try to get some more. It is frustrating that it's lasting so long, even with a few trips to the physio

That would be frustrating that your back is so sore for so long. I am really sorry Sleepy, wish I could help you.
Hey did you mentioned that you ordered food from an organic store? Think that is really good actually, as you are taking better care of yourself. Fruit and vegetables with no chemical sprays on them. How good is that. I think you mentioned that you bought crap food for yourself before, the times when you were in USA.
And yes I am trying out new teas. Like a mini adventure I guess. I did try dandelion tea... but yeah that one might be an acquired taste.
And yes those tiny cookies were in little bags.
Glad you liked your cold pasta as well. It makes a difference when we like the taste of the food.
