I have been struggling eating and eating healthy foods over the last couple of weeks. I really do not want to go back further to how I use to eat, that is eating junk food, takeaways, copious amounts of chocolate, processed junk and comfort eating.
Finding it challenging to stay motivated to actually prepare what I know helps me feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. Plus I have been feeling overwhelmed with other stuff happening in my life, which somehow makes it more challenging. The old unhealthy comfort eating thing is coming back. And I think I am getting concerned and scared about that. I so much do not want to go back to how I use to be. I was so sick. Plus I now have some physical things not right in my body , so I need to be more careful and mindful of what I eat. ( Pre cancer cells , high blood pressure )
I was eating really well since Febuary of this year, it’s just the last couple of weeks I haven’t.
So I would like to use this thread to help me be accountable to Beyond Blue people. So like a diary where I can post and report what I eat. And also any healthy eating tips, motivating strategies to help eat better or anything related to healthy eating for our bodies including our mental health.

Thanks Shelll hope you had a good day and are feeling well
Have been snacking on oranges which I really like, and really enjoyed a minestrone soup tonight with carrot and beans. The carrot was absolutely deliscious
Had a chai latte today with soy milk and 3 (!) hard boiled eggs today. Lately have been craving protein so just went with it.
Trying to vary things and find nice snacks. I think my body is enjoying having more food and variety and exiting starving mode.

Thanks Sleepy, yeah I felt a little better today. I sat out in the sunshine a lot. Sat out on this yoga mat on the concrete path.
You are doing super good there eating some healthy stuff. I love oranges too. Even the scent of them.

I have to say I felt pretty full and satisfied after my lunch today. I did have a larger serving of quinoa and black beans. I had no cravings for junk either, so that is good.
Dinner.... Very tiny serving of brown basmati rice and curried vegetables. My favourite in the curry is cauliflower.
Juice ( carrot, celery, cucumber, beetroot, apple, lime)

This morning I made an chilled mocha. I hardly ever have this as the coffee really messes me around. It can make me jittery and keeps me awake into the night. Anyway I felt like one, so I drank one. Mine has soy milk, 1/2 banana, I medjool date and I teaspoon each of instant coffee and cacao powder. Recipe from a guy called Jason Vale. That was my breakfast this morning. For lunch I went on a picnic and has some leftover cold curry vegetables with rice. 1 mandarine, 1 kwi fruit, grapes, and watermelon from a fruit platter. And some freshly squeezed OJ.
Then I ate....? Yep chocolate later in the day. I am not sure what I feel about that anymore.
For dinner I am going to have some sweet potato, tofu, and spinach.

Feeling sad today. But so far have managed to eat OK.
Breakfast... 2 yummy mandarines
Lunch.... Green Smoothie, pizza made from wholemeal Lebanese bread, BBQ sauce (no added sugar) cashew cheese, sweet potato, pineapple, spinach, oregano, basil

I didn't eat today again so this post has reminded me and I will get some food in me
I have been subsisting on coffees again... bit stressed out and my back is again acting up. Seems my anxiety takes over and I forget to eat. I am going to try better tomorrow.

I have had a mild headache a lot of the day. Not to worry though. I will feel better soon. Soon as all this junk is out of my system. Including the chicken. My body does better on plants only.
Breakfast... Grapes
Lunch..... Teriyaki tofu, quinoa, roasted pumpkin and cos lettuce salad. Smoothie with orange, peach, spinach, apple, coconut water
IIced chocolate
Dinner..... Pan fried chicken (tiny amount) I don't normally eat that and regret doing so. Just all the herbs smelt good waffling through the kitchen.
2 white flour water crackers with a sliver of dairy cheese (too salty)
700 mls fresh juice of celery cucumber, pineapple, spinach, apple and lime.
