Hi everyone..
Their are days when just getting out of bed is a huge achievement...Other days we can achieve things like washing up the dishes or clothes, sweeping the floors, mopping the floors..very mundane and automatic robot like chores for the mentally well...They do these chores without even thinking about them...for people struggling with their mental health..these are huge tasks...
Very often I’ll get my vacuum cleaner out to vacuum ...then it will sit their for days, me looking at it, walking over it...until I can get motivated enough to vacuum..after I do find the motivation to vacuum...I am pleased with myself...
Right now I have a small foot cycling peddle machine, sitting on my front veranda..I got it out last week..to start exercising..it’s still their, I’m still looking at it...My thoughts each night is I’ll use it for a few minutes tomorrow..
My car hasn’t been washed getting close to a year now I think...Today I did managed to wash it....and discovered that it has a nice shine on it.....I did it...I achieved something positive today..which made me feel better in myself...
Have you achieved a little something today...and how did it make you feel...If you want to share that achievement it might make other people a bit more motivated to achieve something they need/want to do..
Looking forward to hearing about your achievement....and how it made you feel..
Little steps and achievements can lead to bigger steps..and bigger achievements...
My kindest and most caring thoughts...everyone.
Grandy...

Don't they what, Katyonthehamsterwheel?!!😺 I do love those cheese drips which end up crispy - yummy little desserts! If my energy is up, & I manage some more catch-up dish washing...so I have some counter space...oh but did I read a mention of oven paper? I'll have to get some of that too...when I'm online grocery shopping, after the dishes. Grandy, I will get some of those Grandy's Cheese Twists made, yet! Now I see you also mention Parmesan Cheese, too. That will definitely be another achievement, one I am looking forward to very eagerly.

Isn't it amazing how motivated we can be when someone says they are going to visit? All the best, Grandy, & everyone. Because you can, look yourself in a mirror, & say aloud, "Well done!" 😺 I can but imagine I'm doing the same. & Grandy, I will do my utmost to not burn myself on any cheesey dessert bits on the paper. I promise.

Hi grandy
im preparing for my return to normal life which is me in an office 5 days a week. I’m hoping the prepared meals will soften the blow. I’m not coping with meals being home full time so I’m thinking I am going to struggle. Just the physical energy it takes to get out the door each day. 😱
Today is veg cheese salami egg slice with enough left over so I can cube for visitors tomorrow. My feet are sore standing in kitchen cooking even with me taking lots of breaks to sit. I’m also writing a report for work and spoiling my big doggo 🐶 he likes the off cuts and the smells from cooking.

Hi everyone....🤗..
MC...I sometimes make extra food on Sunday night so I have some lunch to take into my volunteer job...The other girls buy some take a way...which I’m definitely not a fan of...the food passes to many hands before it’s handed over to me.....
Wishing you all the luck I can MC for an easy transition back into the office for work.....If you start feeling anxious...deep breathing can be done most everywhere....
After a non productive day yesterday....Without pondering on it I just up and mowed my lawns today....then had a refreshing shower, washed my hair...now I’m done for the day....
The visit went well.....clean house, some food in the fridge and cupboard....they were happy with me.....
I think getting yourself to yoga and pushing your bike uphil is a very good achievement for one day...well done Banksy, and you as well Katy...Like you I can go weeks without cleaning my home....but once I do get it clean and fresh...it gives me a good feeling...
Hugs to everyone for all your achievements...
Grandy..

Hi Grandy,
Sounds like you ended up having a very productive day! Mowing the lawn is no easy feat.
With all the rain recently, I've found it hard to feel motivated. I was supposed to go in to uni today and couldn't because of all the train cancellations. I was a little disheartened this morning, but I ended up doing some exam revision and cooking lunch so I'm feeling better already.
Wishing everyone a great day : )

Hi Beeee. That was well done, under the circumstances. 😸
Today, I took a chance on whether or not I could get my new modem up & working. I couldn't remember if I'd put the old or new SIM in the old one, until I'd recieved the new. & I can't see well enough to tell them apart. So, crossed paws, while wondering if I stuck the old SIM in the new modem, would it work anyway? couldn't work out which way it goes in, hoped I didn't have to enter numbers, keys & password anywhere ... I'm not sure my text-to-speech read them correctly, or if my phone's camera could either... but, 😸since I have got this website open & I'm writing here, I guess I did it right! I certainly hope so, 'cause I'm not sure I could get the SIM I hav inserted into the new modem out again. Maybe if I grow my claws a bit longer?.. Technology!!!
It's so very warm today, too, so I'm glad I have done that, while waiting for groceries, this afternoon.😺

Hello Everyone....
I think you done so well beeee, doing some exam revision and cooking lunch,,,,I remember when I was attending school....I could never make myself do any kind of studying if I could get out of it...I hope you enjoyed cooking your lunch and hope you enjoyed eating it more...
mmMeKitty...I admire anyone that can understand today’s technology and getting a computer, iPad or phone up and running...,I waited Over 12 months for my son to visit me and get my new iPad started....it took him not even 15 minutes,,,,Well done dear mmMeKitty...
Quirkt..I am so proud of you for doing that,,,I know how hard that would have been for you....I wish I could do that...
Today...I managed to go into work...when every tiny particle of my brain and thoughts was trying their very best to keep me at home...

I just typed a reply and then something knocked my hand and I guess the keyboard got knocked and wiped it! Grrr!
Anyway I like this thread. I read from p7 up to now. Respect for all the achievements, admirable. Especially people’s housework and assertiveness as those are challenges for me.
Definitely agree with you Grandy, small achievements could be gateways for bigger ones. Also great in themselves too. Btw Peter pans are agapanthuses? I did a quick Google. New to me.
Demonblaster - what is mh? Btw I like your avatar and your name is funny!
I walked quite a lot today, got a few forms filled in, paid some bills and got a postal quote for someone for something. I find things are slow motion for me while fixing my head. First thing is staying in touch with me and continuing my progress. Other stuff getting done is on top of that.
Take care everyone, A

Thank you, Grandy, 😺
How did you feel once you were at work?
*
I am not so good at remaining calm or standing up for myself when someone is angry - whether the anger is directed personally at me, or I just happen to be there, a convenient person to off-load onto. I may look like I can stand or sit without much reaction, but inside, it's panic time. So, Quirkywords, I think you did wonderful! I think, the best way to handle such a situation is to stand & calmly walk away. It's such a hard thing to do. 😺

Hi Amanda,
Well done in your efforts to keep on top of things.
I hope DB won't mind me answering your question. 'mh' means 'mental health.
*
I put off connecting my new modem out of a sort of fear, thoughts I'd mess it up & render the thing useless, & then have no internet connection, again. I don't even know how to check if my computer recognises the new modem, & if it also recognises which SIM is in it... I just don't know what the info I find means at all....
I am glad to overcome my anxiety, knowing if I didn't just 'take the plunge' I'd still have the anxiety pestering me. Now, I can let it go. 😺Until the next time... 😼
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️to everyone
