Singles Support on BB

Hi,

This might seem like a odd thread for me to create but... In my time here at beyond blue, I have come upon a number of users who have reported about the loneliness of being single, never having a girl friend, never will find a partner, not being in a relationship etc. Many users put there stories in new threads each day, so existing users might not be able to find these other users and therefore might not be able to lend a hand of support. Some users might feel they are the only ones to experience this problem. So to help (?) users with similar problems I thought a thread where users, male or female, might eb able to support each other, and create connections even if in a virtual space. I hope you will find this space helpful...

Hi Azzdog,

You say that "no one cares"... That is a bit of an absolute don't you think? I am sure that you friends and people here care about you.

You have said that people and females have said that you are funny etc. Now I will guess that your first date would be just you and the other person. Have you consider making it a double date, so that your friend and their partner, and you and your date can say have dinner together? The benefit of that would be that your friends might be able to give you feedback later on?

And Paul is right... the first few dates are always nervous. And probably for both people, as they learn or find out about the other person and whether they might be compatible or not.

Lastly, it sounds like you had a date recently? There used to be a show called First Dates or something like that. The number of couples on that show that made it were very low. And from the little I have read, given you latest posts, getting to date #2 is very low. So you are doing nothing wrong. I know that won't ease your pain, but what is happening to you, also happens to many other people. 😞
