JUICING for mental health

Hi all 👋

I've recently bought a juicer and have been making fruit/veg juices and have noticed it making a difference to my mental health. I'm clearer, more energized and I just know I'm giving my body many health benefits by drinking pure extracted fruits and vegetables. I thought I'd start this thread for us juicers or wannabe juicers to share juicing recipes. It's become my new "thing".

Hi monkey ginger is easy to grow just plant a tuber and should shoot and will grow more tubers on it and you just dig up a piece when you need it.I would plant it in spring.Bunnings sometimes sell them in pots as well.Ginger tubers is dear to buy in the supermarket.I have always grown my own.

Hi MM, Mark and all.

Thanks for the tips about how to grow ginger Mark.

Today I made a smoothie it had:

Apple

Banana

Cucumber

Spinach

medjool date

Ginger

And coconut water

Are there any juices that are suitable for winter to keep us healthy.

Hi quirky,

Any juice really is suitable.

Ok, so I made a green juice and this is a favourite! It's a 2lt containers worth.

Bunch kale

8 apples

10 cucumbers

1/2 pineapple

Add coconut water to taste.

This is now one of my faves. You can also add celery if u wish!

Wow I can't believe I just found this thread now!

Those are amazing recipes and so healthy!

One that I loved:

Frozen Mango

Honey or Maple Syrup

Any type of milk

Yoghurt

Missep123,

You're smoothie sounds fantastic!

I bought a juicer when I started this thread and it's honestly one of the best investments I've made!

Feel free to add any juice and/or smoothie recipe to the list.

I finally found fresh tumeric and made a tumeric, orange, carrot juice. It was delicious! I also make a ginger, orange, carrot one.

Nothing has ever made me feel as good as these juices do! My skins clear, my migraines gone, my nerve pain has improved! I feel so well. Highly recommend drinking a home made juice or two a day!

Thank you!

Ironically the smoothie I described above is based on one of my favourite smoothies from a shop which is called Monkey Magic (the same as your username!)

I think juicing/drinking smoothies is a great way to get nutrients in. Especially if you make it yourself at home!

I've been making this smoothie at home quite regularly and it has the consistency of ice cream so I eat it with a spoon. It tastes tropical.

Frozen banana

Frozen mango

Frozen pineapple

Add milk or yoghurt and blend.

Sounds delicious and healthy monkey_magic!

I haven't been going outside as much as I used to so I think having a boost of vitamins and minerals from a smoothie like the one you recommended is a really good idea!

Please keep the ideas coming - I love to read them!
