JUICING for mental health

Hi all 👋

I've recently bought a juicer and have been making fruit/veg juices and have noticed it making a difference to my mental health. I'm clearer, more energized and I just know I'm giving my body many health benefits by drinking pure extracted fruits and vegetables. I thought I'd start this thread for us juicers or wannabe juicers to share juicing recipes. It's become my new "thing".

And MM, don't feel pressured to reply to me. All cool.

I am just going to use your thread (if you are happy with that) to help myself be consistent with juicing.

I do really feel better when I drink fresh extracted juices every day.. Its like my body soaks it in.

Yeah sure Shell,

Use this thread to your advantage.

I'm currently on a quest to buy some beets, celery, apples, watermelon and carrots.

Need a juice too.

I read that giving beetroot juice to athletes helped their stamina.

I've just had a protein shake and added some strawberries and yoghurt to it since I don't have ingredients to juice. Time to go shopping.

You are right about the body soaking in extracted juices as it doesn't need all that time in our digestive system. You go girl!! Get that boost!

You make smile with your "You go girl!! Get that boost!" MM. That is awesome. And right back at you.

I am drinking a juice as I write this. Your orange type one again, plus I added cucumber.

Hey after you wrote about watermelon the other day. I went out and bought some last night. I was going to use it in a juice, just ate a piece of it this morning. And then continued to eat it. Hope the one you buy in your quest is as delicious as my one was. Great fruit to juice, as it yeilds a lot of juice those watermelons hey.

Never really been into protein shakes. It would have filled you up, did it? I like those frozen organic strawberries. Forget the brand of them.

And beetroot has a lot going for it. Excellent to detox our livers as well. Didn't know that about athletes and stamina... I like learning about vegetables and fruits and what healing properties they contain. And you can get a good dose of it when you drink juices.

Keep on going MM

Drank a juice which had 2 large carrots, 1 apple, lime and watermelon yesterday.

This morning drank a smoothie which had soy milk, cacao, dates, banana and vanilla

Hi Shell & any fellow juicers & blenders!

Oh watermelon is excellent...lots of juice plus has less sugar than I actually thought compared to many other fruits.

Your smoothie sounds delicious and nutritious as well!!

Get that boost because of your juice!

You'ld think I'm creating some kind of add compaign.

Protein shakes don't fill me up for long...

Made a concoction from what was left in the fridge & put it in a jug.

Beets

Green apples

Celery

Carrots

Lemon

Oranges

Turmeric

And the verdict; it's definitely good enough to drink!!

What I like about fruit/veg juice is the fact they're potent with nutrition....

Did somebody say.. natural medicine!!

I'm all for it!

Hi monkey great to see the juicer still going and great healthy recipes. One interesting thing about watermelon is it does have a lot of different vitamins and minerals from vitamin A,B1,B6,C,calcium,magnesium as well as having Electrolytes so it is really good for you.One of the fruit with the highest Sugar is Fig.Interesting looking in sugar levels and vitamins and minerals of fruit.I did do some study on it many years ago.I wish I could remember it all.

Hi Mark, I agree it's fascinating learning about all the vitamins, minerals and even healthy fats in fruits and vegetables. I have eaten dried figs, they are pretty sweet. As are medjool dates.

Hey maybe you could study it again. Keeps our brains working

Hahaha... "Yeah get that boost because of the juice"

I totally agree with it, as you know. And I also agree with all fruits and vegetables being flooded with healing nutrients. And juicing you really get a healthy dose of it going straight into our bloodstream.

When I drink carrot and beetroot juices often. My skin just looks extremely healthy and clear with rosy cheeks. Cucumber as well.

Cucumber yields a lot of juice as well.

Your juice sounds awesome. Are you using fresh turmeric MM in that. And Mark if you are reading this, have you grown turmeric before. And also ginger? Would really like having a go at growing that, if it grows in my area.

Yesterday I made a juice with watermelon, cucumber, carrot, orange, apple. Interesting colour that one

He,he...,

Yes, that colour would be interesting...after imagining it.

Ive been using powdered turmeric and have been after the fresh one but couldn't find any one time I went shopping.

That would be great if u are able to grow your own. I wonder if I could do the same 🤔 I hope so.

Yes a greenish light brown juice that one. Tasted nourishing though.

Today I made a smoothie it had pineapple, mango, coconut water, chia seeds and powered turmeric. Now that was a pretty color. A yellowy orange colour. And I was glad to get some turmeric into me.

Are you still drinking your jug full MM
