🌱 Diary- 5 Things You Noticed in Nature Today

Guest_1055

Can you think of 5 things you noticed or observed in nature today, using all your senses?

I was wondering if this would be a beneficial exercise to help us focus on something else instead of painful emotions, troubled thoughts, over thinking, anxiety feelings and the darkness of that alone place.

As well as to see that there really is beauty all around us....

Today I am very thankful I noticed:

a snake under a bush where I was weeding!

the roses are blooming

there were patches of blue in the sky

looking into the large, deep brown eyes of a horse

The sounds of frogs croaking

Hi ShellyAnne,

Yes - I have been bitten by some pretty 'big ants' but thankfully I lived through the ordeal.

I hope all is well and good with you.

1 - The Rain is most welcome

2 - I love the reverberation of thunder and lightning

3 - The way the lightning streaks across the sky is awe-inspiring

4 - Ginger wine and soda water, is a perfect tipple on a day like this (Not something I noticed in nature, but ginger grows in the earth, and the water must have come from nature too...one hopes!)

5 - I genuinely appreciate when the weather is cooler.

Hi SourceShield a very interesting name I might add, i love to watch lightening and listen to thunder in a dark room.

I noticed the rain bouncing off the ground today in one of many heavy showers

The sound of water rushing down the pipe from the garage

Steam rising from the hot bitchumin after the rain

Parrots, cockatoos and magpies come to eat the seed i put out on the balcony filling their tummies at breakfast

My cat running from the rain to get under the verandah and sit on the chair

Hey Jules!

Source - to me is another name for my creator.

Life&Love&Light...for that is my Source, and that is what I shall return to.

Shield - because sometimes I just cant do life all alone - I need to call on something deeper from within, to help me through the tough times.

Tonight as I was taking the wolfhound for a walk...

1) I noticed the fullness of the moon.

2) The moon looked rather edible tonight.

3) Walking at night my sense of smell is heightened and the smell of roses overwhelmed me with their sweet glorious scent.

4) I love taking my dog for walks at night, and in the early morning...when the sun is just waking up!

5) I am grateful that I had today off.

I would also like to send a huge prayer of love&care&support to all family and friends in Christchurch...more earthquakes have hit.

I pray that we can all learn how to work in harmony with the ways of our great Mother Earth.

1) Its hot...I am thankful for freshly made, iced mint tea.

2) The cawing of the crow can be loud.

3) The fresh Jasmine smells beautiful tonight.

4) I am at ease in nature.

Hey!

1) Blue Skies

2) White Clouds

3) Green Grass

4) Pink Frangipani

5) Red Strawberries

Hey source shield, I didn't want you to feel all alone in this thread. So since you noticed all that array of colour. I thought why not....I am off to see if I can find the exact same colour outside my place here.

Okay I am outside now, um..it is a bit dark. So yeah...Anyway here I go searching.

1/ Blue.....can't see anything blue in nature, but I found some blue on the side of someone's shoe here.

2/ White.....well there are two stars in the early night sky that look sort of white.

3/Green.....yes there is green strapy leaves on this plant. The plant is lit up by the front light.

4/ Pink....oh yes, I have spotted these petals on this flower, it too is lit up by the front light

5/ Red....can't find anything as yet, so I will walk around the house more, or maybe up the street a bit. Um..walking...still walking. Oh yes, I just shone this device on a bottle brush tree, I am now searching for perhaps a flower here. I cannot see many, but here is one. It is not quite red, but pretty close.

And I simply must add the noise I heard as a Christmas battle flew past my head. Gosh there went another one.

Oh that was a bit of fun.....

Gosh.....I ended up being locked out of the house. Whilst knocking on my very own front door, many more Christmas beetles were flying around me.

Hey Shell,

I enjoy doing these kinds of activities.

Takes my mind off all the 'serious' stuff, for a moment.

So, I am thankful that you started this thread up for us.

Your post, made me laugh.

Thanks for that.

Hopefully youre back inside, but if not...have fun with The Beetles!
