Hi Katy
that really is a tough situation as it would be so nice sometimes to have an advocate, or a break from explaining things. hang in there i'm sure all students miss those appointments at times or need to change them. we're not robots and stuff comes up. a little break is needed at times. sending care and hugs

Nothing’s happened. My MH issues just fluctuate. I’m only managing the basics - well, sort of. That’s debatable too.
My ex used to help me with this stuff. What to do. How to think about things. What to write in an email and who to send it to.
I just can’t talk to people verbally sometimes. Like now. I canceled my psych appointment and haven’t been to GROW either.
I need a pause button or im going to fail my whole degree - maybe - I don’t even know. Pickle.

Hi Katy
OK sounds clear you need time out.
Can you see a doctor on campus so that you have a medical certificate if necessary for your course? Can you manage to attend that?
If you just need rest can you do that - whatever you know helps you recover from this? It's fine to just need time out.
You're a capable woman you don't need your ex but you do need to know you have support.
Just try to manage one little step at a time.
You will be OK.
I'll check back tomorrow.
You know you have support here.
Do what you can manage and you will get through this!
Hugs from me and Sam 💝🐕🙂🔆🏝️🏖️🌻🌿🥕💒⛲🌅

Katy keep in mind that you are able to write clearly here that you are struggling... you can do the same to the uni without needing anyone else's input... example - I've simply copied bits of what you have written here....
I’m not mentally in the right space to do uni stuff, but also not in the right mental space to talk to anyone about it. I can’t do the things right now, I just need a pause.
You could try texting or emailing that or something similar to the uni support person... it doesn't need lots of details about what is going on... it does let them know you need time out... & that would give you breathing space.
Hugs

Thankyou. I don't know why it's so hard to talk about - even via email. It makes me feel ill. I emailed one department and they told me to email a different department. Now I wait and hope someone reads it today and gets back to me so I at least don't have to stress all weekend. MH is so hard in so many different ways.
Last night I decided to go to the shop really late to avoid people. I wanted to buy a book for distraction. My car overheated and I had no one to call. So I had to walk all the way home and get some water and walk all the way back. It was about 11pm by the time I got home. I dunno. Just hard. MH just weaves it way through everything.
Sorry. Whingeing again. A lot. Thanks again.

Vent away Katy, whatever helps! Can you distract yourself with some nice music or a walk or pamper yourself somehow?
Glad you've sent an email to the uni.
I was hoping I'd hear about my computer today but no news so far. Wild blustery winds here it's not a nice day!
Hugs 💖🏝️🔆🙂🐕🏖️

Katy you aren't whinging... you are sharing how you are feeling.... lass share away...
it doesn't help when it seems everything that can go pear shaped does... of course your car played up... that's murphy's law... I think I would have just left it there & gone home & cried... getting the water & going back for it shows an inner strength you should be proud of...
You did really well sending the email... it's not easy when our mind isn't in a good place...
Be gentle with yourself
Hugs

hi katy hi paws and hanna and em 🙂
really hope your okay katy and that you get some help from uni and have an okay weekend. waiting is horrendous with mental health... and there's so much of it i find. so annoying. hopefully they get back to u soon and follow up and hope u feel okay overall
I relate to a lot of what you wrte... i ONLy go to the shops late at night because of social anxiety, and also regarding ur ex using to do that stuff for u, i had a pretty unhealthy relationship overall that I stayed in and i remember how he used to do a lot for me. He'd walk me through everything and even pretended to be my husband to fight with tax companies or whatever dramas i had that i found absolutely horrendous, i hate that stuff with a passion.

Hiya
Sleepy, really appreciate your understanding, like heaps hey, really needed to hear that. Thanks.
I think I am pretty capable until I get into a shit MH space and then I just need someone to tell me what to do, and that it’ll be ok. So thanks, everyone.
Uni has organised the pause I need, and asked me to call them in a week. I’ve got a thick book, something I’d not normally read, but Barack Obama rated it highly and the last one he recommended was a winner. So I’m hoping for a calm weekend where nothing goes wrong and I can just breathe (and read).
I wish the same for you - calm xo
