Feeling desperate to make this stop

Hi there, this is my first post which is really scary. Anyway I am not good feeling really depressed and anxious . I have tried everything psychiatrists, psychologists. Mental health nurses. Medication , I even spent 4 weeks in mental hospital to have tms which obviously didn’t work . Anyway feeling like life isn’t worth living . I feel like I have had enough of this battle called life . No matter what I try nothing works . I couldn’t be more of a joke and a waste of space really what’s the point I am never going it get better . Do people ever truly get better?

Sorry I didn’t see your post until after I sent one to Jojo.

I am on antibiotics for my flu . They changed my meds as well.

I get a single room tomorrow . No my family won’t visit . And thank you for your advice . I will try my hardest .

That’s great you are going to get a single room tomorrow. It’s good to have a safe haven on the ward.

How did the group therapy go, were you able to get involved?

I am glad they are looking at your meds and trying changing them. Years ago I was on an antidepressant and it was making me feel worse, so by reviewing your meds there is a real possibility this will help you too.

I went to the movies today with my best friend to see Downton Abbey. It was very enjoyable and a good form of escapism. The characters are very good and I particularly liked Maggie Smith.

You are doing really well Lilly so just take one day at a time and do your very best to interact with the staff.

Dear Lilly

Did you get a single room? Hope you are getting used to being in hospital and are feeling a bit more comfortable now. Also hope your flu and asthma symptoms are improving.

When I was in hospital there were no groups on over the weekend which made time drag a bit. So it’s good to have something to read or do such as crosswords.

Am going to the movies again tomorrow with Wayne to see Rambo! He likes all the action movies. Oh well might be okay as it is about a kidnapping. Will let you know.

Dear Lilly

Hope you have managed to get through the weekend. How are you feeling now that you have your own room?

Well I went to see Rambo today. It starts off quite nicely with a ranch and horses, but then a young girl has her drink spiked and is kidnapped. It was quite depressing from there on and quite gruesome in parts. Not my cup of tea! Wayne didn’t like it either. You can’t win them all!

Have you noticed any difference since your meds have been changed? That would be so good if you have.

Stay positive and focus on getting yourself well. Your family will manage for a few weeks without you.

How is your flu now? Take good care of yourself. Thinking of you xox

Dear Lilly

Hope you are going well in hospital and getting over your flu. Try and take part in the groups that they run as they are often very helpful.

Have been doing some spring cleaning and found $100 in a bag I hardly use! I was so surprised and delighted as I could do with getting some new clothes.

Starting to get some beautiful weather now so plan to get cycling and have walks along the beach. Also gradually getting my garden in order which is great.

Dear Lilly

Sending you some 💐 to brighten your room and cheer you up. Hope you are hanging in there and starting to improve.

I went clothes shopping and bought a couple of dresses and some sandals. There are a lot of sales on so got some great bargains. I don’t buy a lot of clothes, however, it felt good to freshen up my wardrobe. Do you like clothes shopping?

I am wondering how you are feeling now and hope there has been some improvement, no matter how small?

Has the change of medication made any difference? Hope you are having a better experience of hospital than you did last time. Are you managing to do any of the group therapy?

I have been weeding the garden today and came across a small blue tongued lizard 🦎 so I had to put Poppy inside as she thinks it is a toy!

I can’t believe it’s already October. Time is flying! Hope it is for you too.

So how are you feeling now Lilly, any improvement? I am not posting every day as you need to focus on getting well tho you are still in my thoughts.

I had a gardener come in today and assess my backyard for me as I want a few large shrubs removed. I plan to replace them with dwarf native plants that attract birds. Would also like to get a birdbath. Is good to have a project to work on.

Hope you are getting something out of being in hospital and making some progress.

Dear Lilly

Just saying hello. I’m not sure if you are still in hospital or are due for discharge soon? No matter hope you are feeling better than before.

Went to the movies today and saw Ride Like a Girl which is the true story of Michelle Payne and how she won the Melbourne Cup. We both really enjoyed it. It’s a tough sport tho and I think you need a lot of guts and to be a little bit mental to do it, especially after a really serious fall.

Just popping in to say hi 👋. I am thinking you might have been discharged by now, but I’m not sure. Anyway I hope your experience of hospital this time was much better and was of some help to you.

I am also thinking it must be getting close to when your son has to appear in court? This must be very stressful for you and I hope everything goes well.
