The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

im going to have a snuggle with the cats this morning. They are so warm and cute.

i altered a pram to make it into a 'mobility scooter' for my dog. Still looks like a pram really. She is old and can no longer walk far but loves joining us in her mobility scooter. We get to have a good walk and she gets to enjoy outside. It's a win win. Someone should really invent a proper one though. I feel a bit silly pushing her in a pram but it's the easiest way.

the place looks great! Very neat and tidy. I'll drop some more muffins off this afternoon for the workers today.

Hi everyone.  Well the cafe has been super quiet today.  I did drop in briefly during the day, but all locked up with nobody here.  It was no use settling in to watch the cricket as it was on/off/on/off/on/off all day long.  And in the end I think only about 11 overs were bowled.  So that was pretty uneventful.

Hey, all you workers - how was your first day back to the grindstone?  Hope you enjoyed your takeaway chicken salad lunch that KT very generously provided.  I was breaking the rules somewhat, but I got my takeaway chicken salad as well.  Even though I didnt work today!  I am tomorrow though, so I didnt cheat too badly.

Well I hope business picks up a bit later.  Perhaps its all this rain through the eastern states keeping everybody indoors?  There is an umbrella stand just inside the front door here you know. And you can always borrow a spare if you get caught without one, and need to get home.

I hope you are all okay.

Hi All,

Yes Sherie, riding the chopper is a bit dangerous especially in the wet! However, if I come off I just slide along in my leathers like an aquaplane and I'm unharmed.

Very quiet here today. Back to work I suppose. I'm not working at present so no chicken salad for me! I was busy today visiting someone in hospital. She is fine and is home now. It was kind of stimulating being in contact with doctors and nurses plus the general hustle and bustle of the hospital itself.

Would like to see some cricket tomorrow in the BB cafe. Saw the Renegades win in the Big Bash tonight. Chris Gayle got 75 I think off something like 25 balls! Was pretty to watch.

Oh, and thanks for the umbrella option, Sherie.

Hi All,

i have come in for a late night snack and some cat time. It is raining outside ...sounds lovely.  Can't sleep at the moment. I did get a few hours in though. 

Hmmmm lunches......how about egg sandwiches? The chooks have been laying. I'll make a selection and you can grab what u want in the morning. TMB - I'll make one for you too. 

Mocha and Latte are snuggled up together and have some good purs / snoring happening. Won't disturb them. They look comfy.

i might have a lay down on the couch in here and see if I can catch some more sleep.

Hi there KT. Good to see you. I wont disturb you though, as I see you are still asleep on the couch.  Like you I cant sleep.  But enjoyed listening to the rain.  We have had over 100 mms since 9am yesterday.  And another 10 mms the day before.  Very wet.

Yes please, I love egg and mayo sandwiches.  Will be good for me to take to work today.  Glad those Isa Brown hens of yours have been producing eggs.  They are good layers.

TMB - sorry I missed you earlier.  You are funny - the umbrella wont work for you on the bike!  But you can hang your helmet on the top of the umbrella stand when you come in.  You wont need a brolly anyway with all the leathers, gloves, boots an helmet.

Yes I too watched some of the T20 last night.  About time Gayle fired, as until last night he hadnt done too much.  I was actually hoping the Hurricanes would win, but didnt really mind about the Renegades getting up.  Not sure if we are going to get much cricket in the Test again today.  Must be very disappointing for everyone with tickets to the game.  As well as for us viewers at home.  As I'm working today, I probably wont get to see much anyway.

Okay so I will just quietly lock up as I leave and wont disturb you as you sleep peacefully.  I so wish!  The heavy rain has just stopped here.  I will head back to bed and see if I can get in a final couple of hours sleep.  Hopefully I will see Kaz in here later today before she heads into work again.  Kaz - I hope it was okay yesterday  ( - :

Good morning to anyone who comes along today.  But at the moment its all quiet here.  Just Latte and Mocha to keep me company.  

I just need a bit of quiet anyway.  Hubby still sleeping so I dont want to wake him by fossicking around in the kitchen.  So I'm here instead to make a nice pot of steaming hot tea.  In a teapot with real tea leaves of course.  I have come through the night with a throbbing headache, and I see that the first aid kit has some panadol in it.  So I will just take a couple  to try to ease it a bit.  I have to go into work soon, so I hope this helps.

I hope everyone had a good day at work yesterday and again today.  I know you are all very busy now that work is back in full swing.  But I really miss your company.  Hopefully you'll find the time during the week to pop in and say hi.  I'd like that.

hope your headache will pass quickly. How was your day yesterday?

How is everyone else? I know I will be quiet during the weeks now, but I am thinking of you.

My day was ok, but I feel exhausted. Working and doing CBT is wearing me down - already after Day 1! It is 8am and I want to go back to bed. I am learning to be nice to myself so I am stopping for a cappucino with a double shot before I am off to work.
