The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hiya Sherie - your trip south sounds lovely. I do like the Southern Highlands. Not considering a little detour to Canberra by any chance?

Hi KT, what's a Fitbit? Do I need one?

Lovely of you to offer to make lunch - I'd like a sandwich with some of your delicious slow cooked lamb please.

I think if I left the ironing to the morning of the day I needed it I just wouldn't get out of bed.

Cheers Kaz

Hey All,

Hope everyone is traveling ok. I got some pretty good sleep but only 6 hours worth, the 3rd night in a row!... Think I need a shot of KT's Bundy rum! to perk me up! (Thanks KT for the welcome and the delicious muffins!) Yes, I popped in here last night to see how things work, very interesting! Was good to meet Sherie too, who showed me around and introduced me to the bar fridge and the 2 exotic cats! I was a bit wobbly on the ol' motorcycle when I left but I got home ok.

Shame about the cricket and the rain. I had a busy day visiting a friend in hospital and tonight I just want to relax with a movie. Everybody, enjoy your night!

Oh Kaz, silly me.  I meant the Southern Tablelands where my family live.  Brother is on a sheep farm. Mum and Dad live in a small nearby town.   We will visit our daughter in W'Gong on our way down, and travel through the Southern Highlands.  And yes there is a chance that we may visit Canberra.  I have a sister who still lives in Canberra.  But I'm hoping she'll come and catch up with us at either Mum and Dads place or my brothers farm. We only have a few days and I want to spend as much time with Mum and Dad as possible.  They are both pretty frail these days.

Isnt a fitbit something that tracks the distance you've run?  I think I've seen some advertised on tele.  I suspect Kaz that you can get by without one.  Just another technological gadget to get confused over.  No doubt it'd be good for the fitness minded amongst us though.

The rain has finally arrived here.  Been expecting it all day.  We have 20-40mms of rain forecast for each of the next 2 days now.  So we are in for a few wet days.

My ham salad dinner sounds pretty ordinary when compared to Yggy's slow cooked lamb.  What were you planning on doing for lunch for the workers tomorrow KT?  Do I count as a worker?  I'm working on Tuesday.

Gotta go folks, have a good evening.

Hello everyone

I did come in the cafe last night and today, But didn't say anything. I think my mind was getting mixed up with reality and my imagination. So forgive me, I just listened or rather read, what you all wrote.

TMB, I have sort of met you in another thread, and I now keep looking at the picture. Is it of you? And the two blotches of red/orange. Are they two frilly fish? Just wondering that's all. So here is my hug of welcome to you.

Hey KT

I was wondering what that exercise thing was as well. And what is wrong with your dog? Did you constuct the mobility scooter, I can't remember what you said. How did you make it? It does sound pretty cute, the only picture I have in my mind is a  image of little dog moving around on something that has wheels. I think it was in a movie called "babe".

In my imagination

.........It is extremely quiet in here at the cafe. I can sing as loud as I want, and no one will hear me. Everyone is most likely asleep. Ah Mocha and Latte, you will keep me company won't you? I see KT has cleaned your litter box. Ah she is such a kind person and very diligent. You hungry, you want some left over roast lamb especially made by yggy? Well I will just give this cafe a bit of a sweep and mop, looks like it needs it. I'll just straighten up these sofas, looks like Kaz and Sherie and maybe someone else was watching the cricket, hey kitty cats?...............

Hi Everyone,

Hi Kaz, catch u later!

Hi KT, good luck with the motivation, thanks for the rum. Let me know what beer you like and I'll arrange it for you whenever you like. Nice and cold!

Hi Shelley anne. Thanks for your kind welcome Sometimes I too get a bit mixed up about what's real and what isn't at the BB cafe.

Yes, we did kinda meet before, so it's good to meet u properly. Thanks for your hug of welcome to me. I give u a hug of thanks back.

I'll explain my member's pic. The picture is not of me. It is an actor named Mickey Rourke. He played the part of "the motorcycle boy" in the 1983 film, Rumble Fish. In the pic he is looking at 2 samurai fighting fish separated by glass in a fish tank.

They would kill each other if they were allowed to swim together. The fish represent the young people in the movie how they kill each other in gang fights etc. but could survive if they could be somehow set free. This is what TMB wants badly. I hope that gives you an idea.

A very good movie in my opinion.

TMB

P.S. Good night cats, locking up. g'night all.

Mmm, it looks like everyone has gone for the night.  Sorry I missed you TMB, and you too Shelley.  TMB I'm so pleased you made it home last night okay, I was a little worried about you there on your own and driving that big bike home.

Next time Shelley, I'll sneak in so I dont disturb your singing.  Its just gone 3.30am where I am, and its been raining lightly all night.  So I've been laying awake listening to the rain.  Hey Shell the place looks nice and clean after your sweepout.  Sorry I didnt straighten the sofa after the cricket, so thanks heaps for fixing up after me.  I dont normally leave the place in such a mess, must have left in a rush yesterday.

Okay everyone, I will just drop into another couple of threads to see if I can find anyone else around.  Catch you all later.

Sherie xx
