Hello,

I thought I would start this thread, about our pets.

I have read in the forums a lot of us has a pet or pets of some kind.

Be it a dog, cat, bird, rabbit, guinie pig, tortoise, snake, lizard etc: they bring joy to our lives, they are there for us giving us unconditional love.

I thought a it would be nice if we could share our pets antics, or if you've seen other animals, doing things that have made you laugh.

They can be funny, loving, outrageous, anything that your pet does or does not do that puts a smile on your face and might put a smile on someone's face that is struggling.

Please keep the stories light hearted and happy,

We all love our pets, let's let others enjoy them as well..

I will go first to get it up and running.

I have two little dogs, Maltese x Yorkshire x Aussie Terriers, I have Mum (4 years old) and Daughter (2years old).

My dogs have the run of the house, my back screen door after many attempts and lots of failures I put a doggie dog into it. I love theses two they are my fur family.

My story is about another dog I had many years ago, I called him boof he was a Belgium Shepard, I was sitting at my kitchen table one day just looking out my back door (creedance). Boof was just relaxing in the shade with my young son. It was a hot day and I thought I might take my young son into the pool. I was about to go outside when all of a sudden a cat ran across our yard, well Boof just took off after the cat yep my young son took off after Boof, then Boof it looked like his brakes stopped working, he was chasing the cat then I saw him slide (son still chasing him). he couldnt stop, he slid into the swimming pool with such force he bent the tin frame nearly flat to the inside of the pool, well a waterfall began, Boof was on the other side of the pool he crashed straight through it, my son ended up slipping on the water skidded to the other end of the pool, crashing and landing on Boofy scream of laughter was coming from my son, absolutely soaked to the skin covered in mud, Boof was trying to get up, slipping all over the place from the mud as well I think he was seeing stars from his hard hit, he couldn't get up. I couldn't stop laughing at the pair of them. They looked so funny covered in mud, the pool was later repaired. Son and dog was hosed off so it all ended well

Do you have a pet story to tell?

Kind thoughts

Grandy.

G'day all you furry friend lovers, my angel furgirl who is 13years young is called 'Spitfire" lol, she is part long haired persian and part siamese when she is not feeling the best her siamese mi owe happens and she sticks to me constantly for lots of attention and hugs that I do not mind(mostly fur ball times) I should brush her a lot more than I should but that does not allways happen bad me!! The other 2 furgirl munchins are actually my housemates cats they are named Cuddles and Snuggles who are sisters, when John lost his cat to a freak accident over a year ago I looked around the local area for give-away cats and took him to see these kitten family he ended up deciding on the 2 kittens and talked and carried these 2 all the way home in the car, he absolutely adores them we call him the cat whisperer as they both do as he tells them what, which is very strange for cats but they are so cute with him and without him the things they get up to are hilarious I would love to post photo's on here but I don't think you can?? Grande do you have any animals of your own? And what breed is a puglier is it something like a pug breed so your baby would be on the smallish side perhaps? I was just thinking today that I would like to get a small dog for home here some1 that would bark the place down if any strangers came near here as I heard earlier today that a some1 tried to break into a neighoring property about 5 k's away from here we live in a fairly rural area off a highway still thinking about it as mentioned have 3 cats here do not know if it would be well received! Enjoy the animal anctics for the week everyone. Cheers Spitfire1(lol)

Hello Spitfire and all.

I have two little fur buddies..The eldest is Kya the youngest is her daughter Ebony..They are so cute Maltese cross silky..They get along absolutely fantastic together, they are never apart..if one goes outside the other does..Thy are mainly inside dogs..I leave open the back door slightly it’s glass and cut a small doggie door in the screen door, they have the option to be in or out..they stay in mostly with me...

When I feed them, I use two bowls one each..they never touch the other ones food, or snacks..if one doesn’t eat neither will the other one...I find that very strange..

There personalities are different..Kya is a barker the watch dog..😁 she is no taller then around 12” and she will hold her own when people walk past..I find it amusing that people are afraid of her..she would never do anything except continually kiss anyone that walks in the yard, Ebony is more gentle and placid, she will bark when mum barks but if anyone talks to her, she runs straight to me for protection...Love them both so very much..they are my baby girls and my biggest reason for being here..no one will ever love them as much as I do..

I love the sound of your two little fur babies...They must play together a lot and I could only imagine the things that they would get up to...little kittens just don’t stop it’s play, play play all day....lol and night time as well..I’m pleased your enjoying them. They sound adorable..

Hello Lee...How is Izsy and Zac getting on..I hope so much that they are starting to accept each other and are getting along okay now...

Love and hugs to you all and your adorable fur buddies..

Hello i have a dog and a cat. My dog is named jesse hes a nearly 9yr old border collie/malamute/cattle dog cross. Jesse loves the water especially chasing the little fish in low tide. He was born with joint problems which has got worse as hes older so we have a large dog pram to help him out when needed. He loves it. My cat is a 13yrold black moggy named milly. She was my deceased mums cat aswell so having her is holding on to the last piece of my mum if that makes sense. My funniest story was with jeese at the local dog park, there were no other dogs at the timeMy dog was in the water along side the park, and a lady walked through the park with a small pet pram. I assumed it was a little dog. But oh no what was in it was a cat! A scary looking rex cat. It spotted jesse and went balistic hissing and spitting in the pram. Jesse heard the commotion and started running round the pram in circles barking while the cats still carrying on and the lady was zig zagging running through the park while im yelling to stop so i can put my dog on a lead. She said her cat loves going for walks which i think is fantastic, but through the middle of an offleash dog park seriously😅

I have a small dog with a big personality. She's the love of my life and my lifeline. There is no doubt in her mind everytime the phone rings that it's for her. The same goes for anyone who comes to the door. Who else accepts us like our pets????

Loved reading your stories and meeting you families.

Wilma..I am so please to hear that you little fur buddy is the love of you life...my two are the same...

They do think that they have to protect us from the front door, I think they need have a look first at who’s at the front door and of course..say hello to your guests...woof woof, bark bark about a hundred times....

Your so right Wilma..our pets accept us 100%: doesn’t matter what we look like, who we are, they are loving us the best way they can and that’s...unconditionally...And we also love them unconditionally as well.. my two are all I see and talk to for days at a time....

Whitewolfwarrior, Jess sounds delightful.

Ggrand, sending some of these your way.💕💜💕💜🐾🐾🐾

Your story about the cat in the park is hilarious and still makes me smile.

My little dog is a bit naughty. One of her favourite pastimes is chasing frogs in my garden. I try and rescue them and throw them over my neighbors fence, but one time she actually picked one up in her mouth while I was running after her in my PJ’s trying to get it off her. She then proceeded to eat it and I mean all of it! Poor little froggy! She wasn’t sick after either. I wonder if she is of French descent! I now keep a close eye on her especially at night when frogs are around.
