Well done Moon glad to see you made it through unscathed so to speak I new you could do it I had faith in your ability. Even though officially I am not on the Wagon. Mine was a booze free Christmas if I wanted I could have ordered a large quantity I chose not to just for me.

Hi everyone,

Hubby & I survived Christmas. I was feeling very “unchristmassy” (if that’s a word?) on Christmas Eve.

We did go up to our daughter's place & celebrated with the kids with a bbq. We were most surprised to find the lounge room tidy & not smelly & our teenage g/daughter had obviously showered & didn’t pong! We had a very pleasant time. (We gave all the kids toiletry bags filled to the brim with cleansers & sweet smelly things. Do you think we were subtle enough?)

Yesterday we had two friends for a hot lunch. Hubby cooked all the meats & I carved it all. It was all lovely, relaxed & enjoyable. We did have to mind one friends dog for a few hours. I really don’t like that as he believes inside is for pooping - yuk!

Today we had another friend & his mum over for a cold lunch. It was lovely but the fridge had decided to freeze a few of the salads & the prawns - grrr! They eventually thawed though.

I’m so tired now. Overtired I think. We didn’t hear from our daughter who has turfed us from her life. I feel sad about that & for the relationship we could have been having.

All in all though it has been lovely. Now for a few days relaxation.

Sending you all my very best wishes, Lyn.

Hi Everyone,

CMF I really like the idea of the bonfire and chucking out stuff that we no longer want, emotional garbage and all. Maybe I can write it all down then chuck that onto the fire.

My mind tried to take me on a trip down "misery lane" today. My mind almost won! I decided to read a book for a while instead. I can't do two things at once anymore, so reading helped immensely!

Moon social drinking is okay if we can leave it as just that. My father in law was a little plastered when we arrived Christmas Day and kept on drinking. He had a snooze on the couch while the rest of us chatted away around him.

He staggered out of the house to see us off when we left, I was really concerned he was going to have a fall as he was that unsteady on his legs! Being drunk is fine, falling down, hurting yourself and needing an ambulance is not so good!

Birdy my memory can be dreadful! Here on the forum I can go back and read what people have written! You don't know how many times I have to do that so I remember what I want to write! Ha. Ha.

Hope you are having a much better day today Birdy.

Hey, this is how bad my memory is, I could wrap myself up a present, open it next week and be very surprised as to what it is as I will have forgotten in a week. Ha. Ha.

Cheerio everyone, from Dools
