Hey Everybody! Christmas is the time of year to enjoy & share with family & friends. Some people will spend this time alone & isolated too!
This is a safe place where people can post and say hello, chat or send wishes to others and have a 'Virtual Christmas/New Years'!
Whether you have plans for Christmas/New Years or having a quiet one you can kick back and just enjoy company of others. Its been a long year. Even if you have never posted on Beyond Blue before you are very welcome to come in and sit around our 'Virtual Christmas Tree' and chat 🙂

There is no reason for you to think you are not welcome here. This thread is about Christmas, the good, the bad and the ugly! Yes, we do try to encourage each other, but we also know there are people who really struggle this time of year.

Myself and many others have shared their struggles here. This can be a very hard time for people Moon. Hope you pop back again!

Hi Chris,

I need to be able to find them on the computer in the first place! The Christmas songs I know are on CDs and even old records! By the time I posted those to you via snail mail, it would be Christmas 2018! Ha. Ha.

I might have a look a bit later and see what I can find when I Google Christmas songs!

Shudders to the Christmas songs. Weird huh. I like carols but Christmas related songs give me the heebie jeebies big time. They remind me of being a child responsible for a drunk and depressed adult. Anyway moving on. Nothing says I have to click on any of the clips. Can just enjoy the conversations 😊.

I saw the date today and thought huh. It's almost over. Somehow Christmas has become a non event for me except for performing for my kids. I feel too emotional so it's easier to just make it a time to get through. Thank Goodness my psychiatrist works over Christmas.

Welcome to the community here and a big extra welcome to the Christmas Thread. Cheers to you and everyone who joins in here or is just reading this thread.

Last night I did have a look for some Christmas songs on You Tube...I have finally found You Tube. Ha. Ha. Some of the songs did bring a tear to my eye as I listened to them and watched the clips.

I have been enjoying looking at Christmas Decorations from around the world on the internet. Some of them are just so lavish and beautiful and put our plastic department store stuff to shame. Ha. Ha.

I wish you and everyone here, all the best for Christmas Day, no matter what we all end up doing, hope our minds are calm and peaceful!

Tasa is there a Church group or council run place near you where you could be with someone for Christmas if you wanted to do that? I was going to volunteer at a place Christmas Day until my husband's family changed my plans. (At least I can still help to set up on the Sunday ready for the Church Christmas Day lunch so that will be my contribution now)

Join in here as much as you like Tasa, this thread will continue on into the New Year as well, so you are welcome to join us for New Year's Eve too!

All these Christmas songs being posted remind me of a time a little less complicated 1960's when a band put out a Christmas song that went the 60's version of viral. The band was The Royal Guardsmen.The song was... "Snoopy's Christmas" good to have a giggle at today. The only thing is I don't know how to paste it in here. it is in you tube.
