Tired

Truetomyself
Community Member
At the moment I feel really tired and exhausted from my anxiety that is now impacting my depression.
I am also tired of having to hide it. Especially with work.
I can't afford to loose my job but I can't say what's really going on.
I am scared and unsure of what to do. I have lost jobs because of my mental health being so up and down.
I have no one to talk about it to.

Hey Truetomyself,

Thanks for reaching out tonight on the forums,

We're very sorry to hear our anxious you're feeling at the moment. Is there anything you've found to help during these moments? Maybe a warm bath or shower or possibly some breathing exercises? You might like to try this one: https://bit.ly/3Gr2gtC

Please remember we're available via phone or webchat if you'd like to talk these feelings through: www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport.

do you mind if I ask a couple of questions ...

1. are you able to tell me what you are worried about?

2. do you have any tools to help you in these moments of anxiety?

I am concerned for you and listening.

My father has a bad temper and it scares me. That I won't get better and be on the streets. But I have PTSD from childhood trauma caused by my father. I am scared of him. I have breathing.

I assume you live with your father?

Are you looking after him?

do you have any brothers or sisters?

Sad to hear that you are suffering from a something caused by your father. 😞

And things will get a little better... just have the find the right pathway. You are also strong to have made it this far and to tell a more of your story. You are also not the same person as you were when you were a child as well - that you became a teacher also says that.

last note... remember your thoughts are just that.... thoughts. They do not define you.

I live with him. I am not looking after him. My brother and sister don't care. I really feel unwell tonight. I am struggling as I am not getting enough food to eat and my fluid is low.

Hey Truetomyself,

We're so sorry to hear how difficult things are at home and how unwell you're feeling. Do you have access to food and water at the moment? We're concerned to hear you're not getting enough food to eat.

We'd really urge you to get in contact with our Support Service to help you manage your situation. They'll have a lot of useful ideas and strategies to support you. Is there anything our community can help you with tonight? We can hear you feel as though you're not looking after your father? Could you tell us more about this?

I am sorry I am not quite sure how the living arrangements work but...

I am sad that you do not appear to be getting any support from your brother or sister. I also hope you have been able to eat something this evening.

do you want to tell me what subjects or years you taught?
