Hi men,

I was here a few years ago when all the discussion started about women joining the men's sheds. It all became too heavy back then so I left and quit the shed I was in. What was the outcome? Are girls now allowed to join sheds? I'm looking for somewhere that is a male only support network, is this it? If not where do we go? Sorry if any girls are here and reading this but some blokes just need a space of our own - seems there are thousands of women only support forums where men aren't allowed but very few for us?

Anyway hoping this forum is just for blokes and we can open up on here. Cheers all.

Hi DonsDrones and welcome to the forums,

These forums are for everyone so unfortunately no you will end up with replies and support from women (like me).

This thread is your safe space and you can choose to ask for replies from men but please keep in mind your audience is mixed and equally as welcome on the forums as yourself.

There is a good thread by tony WK called men isolated which you might like to google and maybe join in.

I hope you can find what you need here. There is a lot of support and many kind non judgemental people here. Maybe give the forums a go regardless if they're not exactly what you had in mind.

Nat

Thanks Nat - I'll see if I can find Tony's group. No offence but a men's shed should be exactly that... I'll unsubscribe from here.

No worries.

Tony's thread is here...

It is part of these beyondblue forums so anyone can read it ok.

I did google men only forums but a lot of the ones I found are pretty toxic to read.

I hope you can find the space you need.
