It really annoys me when I'm talking on the phone and people just talk over top of me and especially really loudly it's so rude and it feels like I'm just having a one sided conversation... especially when it's like an organisation as well or somewhere where they need to provide good service or customer service. Even when I've gone into places like centrelink some even psychologists. Makes you genuinely wonder how people have jobs honestly so so so rude.

Hey Hannahmk,
Thank you for your openness in sharing here. We can understand how frustrating it can be to feel unheard, please know that our community is always here to listen.
We understand the frustration particularly when dealing with organisations like centrelink, you deserve to feel heard. Advocating and being assertive can be difficult but these are some skills you might want to speak to your psychologist about, there's nothing wrong with politely letting a person know that you haven't finished speaking. If you feel like talking about this, we'd encourage you to give the Beyond Blue counsellors a call on 1300 22 4636 or speak to them on webchat here.
We hope that you find our forums to be a safe and supportive space to talk through your thoughts and feelings. Our community is here for you, and we’re sure they’ll spot your post soon enough and have some kind words and understanding for you.
Kind regards,
Sophie M
