There are a couple of sites I'd like you to google before we continue 'panda depression' and 'pnd support for mothers', these may give you some avenues to explore.
I know how you are feeling, although for a male might be completely different to how a mum is feeling, but your life has now changed, everything you once were able to do that won't happen anymore, and even believing that you're doing everything right for your baby comes unstuck when they don't feed, burp, change their nappy and then try and put them to sleep in their cot, wouldn't that be perfect, unfortunately this doesn't happen so you blame yourself for not doing the right thing.
You become tired and irritated, it's not easy, this is why you need someone to have your child for a few hours a day if possible so you can catch up on your sleep.
My ex didn't want to see a psychologist nor did she want to take any medication and perhaps that's why it stayed for so long, for me I was busy working a business while trying to take the boys for a walk, thankfully my MIL was living with us and did most of the work without a single complaint, she was our life saver. Geoff.

Dear Sunshine M
Any form of depression can be absolutely horrible, and if you have had this for three years then you must be feeling very worn down and often at your whit's end..
While I don't think we recommend specific support groups in this Forum Geoff's suggestions are pretty good. I'd like as well to mention:
https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/postnatal-depression
which has a pretty comprehensive list of support services. Also you may like to call our 24/7 Help Line (1300 22 4636) and see what suggestions they may have.
If you have a browse around this Forum you will probably find many others in a similar condition and find how they have coped
I hope you can find a group, one can make a real difference
Croix

Thanks Greg for your tips and suggestions and for taking your time to write this out.
i wanted to find a support group like a mother's group where we can meet face to face for mothers who have gone through PND for support but it's hard to find a group locally. But I might ask my GP and see if they can refer one to me😊
