Also - Loving. That's about the first coloured couple in the USA to marry. Astonishing to modern eyes.

Hi Mark & Sleepy
The heat's been shocking Mark. It's finally cooler today for a day or so. I have to go supermarket shopping today. I think something has scared my neighbours - they were too involved in other people's business here and one couple here recently had a major bust up and they were involved with both parties - I think they have got themselves into some trouble with someone.
I keep to myself here and don't get involved with the neighbours. I try to go out a lot. I think my neighbours have shut themselves away so maybe something/someone has scared them. I am off to Woolworths, what fun.
I am still looking for a puss cat. I was at the Woolworths the other day and a young guy had his Cavalier King Charles dog with him - an old girl. He asked could I mind his dog (I was sitting outside in the shade after shopping) while he shopped as he couldn't leave the dog in the car in the heat. I spent about half an hour happily stroking his lovely dog - she snuggled up to me and seemed to be enjoying it! I do miss my dog so much!

hi Hanna - those are great suggestions. I love talking abotu What we Do in the Shadows - its my latest fave! Taika and Jermaine made a series based on the show, but its set in America, about 3 vampires (2 male and 1 female) who live in a sharehouse together. I really recommend the show as well! It is so sweet, even though it is about vampires after a while you forget about it and it just feels like a fun show about relationships.
Do you watch any shows? Atm for some reason I can only watch tv series because then I can keep watching!
I didn't like this season of Fargo as much. Of the movies you've shared, I like all of them especially the Dressmaker and Thelma and Louise - thanks for recommending!

Hi Sleepy, I don't watch shows much - I loved the vampires in New Zealand, I saw that on DVD - I mostly watch DVDs rather than anything on TV - the library here has a terrific selection of movies and documentaries - I wonder if there's a library near you that you could join and get some free movies etc to watch - the library here is quite social too, you can read papers and magazines and get a coffee and chat etc.
I was going to look at a rescue cat today but it's too wet, raining hard. It's an adult cat which was found lost, I hope to get up there tomorrow. I'm doing a house tidy today!
I think you would enjoy Loving, and Maudie about a disabled woman artist was fantastic. Definitely try your local library!
