Hi Hanna I am just trying to work out my daughters ndis.It has been increased by a significant amount.Just have to work out what it can be used for.It will be interesting to see if my sons gets increased as well.
The Santa photos do create jobs for this short period and get money in the economy.
Its a bit cooler here with a bit of cloud cover. It was shockingly hot yesterday.I am waiting to get ready before my sons concert.

That's good news about the increase in the NDIS Mark! I hope you enjoy the concert, let me know how it went! Got caught in a long phone conversation with someone today and am running late here - lovely cool breeze came through today thank goodness, a bit of a break before a very hot week ahead!

Hi Hanna I thinking of looking into my daughter living more independently as that's one thing in the Ndis plan. Will just have to work out exactly what and what we can use it on.
My sons concert went well. They had it early at 4pm instead of 6pm and not on a thursday like they usually do. It was in the town hall as usual. One of the teachers was retiring and had been at that school since 2004 and even taught my daughter so they did a slide show of her years at the school. They did a class performance and then a presentation of awards so they mixed it up.They didn't get any guess this year to give out any awards. They did ask the mp who has award named after him who usually hands it out but was unavailable.

Hi Mark, I'm glad it all went well - what do your kids do over the holidays now? Do you enjoy having them home from school for that time? I remember as a kid I used to get bored by the end of the holidays and I wanted to go back to school!
I watched the Apollo 11 movie yesterday about the moon landing. I find it amazing how they got those men onto the moon and back when computers were so basic and so much of it was done by mathematicians working out problems on notepads! It sure was a great achievement. I was at high school when that happenned and I remember us all sitting in the science laboratory where there was a tv and watching it all. Everyone was amazed, it was such a huge event.
I found a DVD called Torque in an op shop today and got it for a dollar, but when I googled it it didn't have good reviews. Apparently there are some motorcycle stunts in it.
I'm late today as I have someone coming to visit tomorrow and I've been getting the house clean and tidy and doing the garden.
It's very hot here and getting hotter and I have no air conditioning! How do you manage the hot weather where you are?
Have a good evening Mark!

Hi Hanna not sure what I will do during the holidays with the kids.I probably take them to the pool a few times and fishing.Might ho down to the real big city and visit my Aunty. My daughter spends lot of her time watching Netflix. My son likes going to the park playing basketball these days but it is getting hot for that and I don't like going to early as i don't want to disturb the neighbours.I usually stay in my lounge room with a fan on in the real hot days.It is the coolest room in the house. My bedroom gets the western sun and gets really hot.
I find I like a lot of the movies with bed reviews.I like watching it first and then reading reviews so I don't have perceived view of it.Movies with really good reviews I don't like so much.zits interesting to just read reviews and compare it with how I felt the movie was for me.
It's my sons day at the high school so he will really get what a day is like at High school.

Hi Mark,
That's interesting that it'often movies with poor reviews you like - I have also found that at times - people have different expectations often I think. I have found I often prefer a movie that is fairly unnown to a blockbuster.
It sounds as if your kids are pretty good at keeping themselves occupied in the holiday break! I can imagine it's hard for parents with kids who are wandering around bored and wondering what to do with themselves!
It's been very, very hot here today and worse to come - a dry wind and there has already been a bushfire near here and the air is smokey. I have been out much of the afternoon, had to wait in for someone visiting this morning. The air is hazy with smoke from the fire, very unpleasant.
Do your kids like music Mark? My friend the music teacher where I lived before used to have a mate of his over sometimes and the two of them would jam on electric guitar togetehr, it sounded like they had a lot of fun.
I have been watching a kind of dog I like - West Highland Terriers - people are teaching them to skateboard on utube - one little dog was having the time of his life, racing along the path on the skateboard with his ears flying! I never thought of teaching little Sam to skateboard!
I hope you have a good evening Mark - it's finally cooled down a bit here thank goodness!

Hi Hanna my son did not have a very good day at High school and hot teased. So much for the no bullying policy at the school.Thinking I should send him to the special needs school that is so far away.
My kids are not musicians. My son likes listening to music to go to sleep.

Hi Mark,
Sorry I'm not quite understanding you - was your son at high school for a day? Who teased him? Would he be able to travel to the special needs school? Was there some music happening - I'm not clear what happened?
I was reading a forum by and for teachers in Australia recently - the teachers were complaining about open plan classrooms and the kids' behaviour (this was at state primary schools). Apparently classrooms aren't restricted to one room with seating towards the teacher but lots of kids in a large area with different teachers? Does this happen where you kids attend? It doesn't sound good for their concentration and kids with special needs.

Hi Mark, I hope your son is OK.
I watched part of Easy Rider last night - I loved it, still have to finish it. What are the bikes they ride, there are just the metal parts leading to the handles and no "front" like I ususually see. I loved the soundtrack, terrific music!
Terribly hot here, I hope you are OK up there.

Hi Hanna the bikes in easy rider are Harley Davidson choppers which is just customising. That bike style is good on the highway but on slow winding roads is harder to ride.
My son had his last day of primary school yesterday and they did a send off for them all.Unfortunately I had a hospital appointment that I couldn't get changed and missed it.
