To all the beautiful people 🌞
Words placed in a particular order can have a profound effect on us.
Words can bring us a moment of comfort, give us a different perspective, or change the course of our thinking and outlook entirely.
I would like this to be a space where we share quotes that have meaning to us or that have the potential to bring some comfort or encouragement to somebody, even if just for the moment in which they are reading it.
I will start.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher
Go gently with yourselves lovely people.

You are meeting parts of you that you have long been at war with.

Simple words about persevering through the ups and downs in life:
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final.
- Rainer Maria Rilke

Another one I have found to help with the struggle to climb the ladder to life:
"Perseverance will one day pay!"

no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
~ excerpt from Desiderata by Max Ehrmann
I know this excerpt has been shared here before, but quite a while ago. I am finding it calming and reassuring right now and I share it here again in the hope it helps someone else today as well.
(Thank you Sir Croix for the reminder).

Thank you to all contributors... I have just read through this entire thread over the past week or so, saving the words that resonated especially deeply. I'm commenting to follow the thread, but I'll put these words in here too while I am at it. I find them helpful. Perhaps someone else will too.
a gradual unfurling...
When you can take no more
take your time,
take a breath,
and take the next tiny step.
and take heart,
because the power
to create change
still exists
when you cannot see it

Some simple words of encouragement. For anyone who might need a gentle reminder:
You are strong for getting out of bed in the morning when it feels like hell. You are brave for doing things even though they scare you or make you anxious. And you are amazing for holding on and trying, no matter how hard life gets.

I hope you know you’re brave and capable and significant and significant. Even when it feels like you’re not.

In the spirit of compassion, I though the next two were quite fitting (especially in the offline realm too)...I feel making assumptions about who’s seemingly doing okay and who’s not aren’t always accurate...
The truth is none of us really know how much someone else is hurting. We could be standing right beside someone who is completely broken and have no idea. Be kind always.

Also...
Check on your strong friends.
Check on your quiet friends.
Check on your “happy” friends.
Check on your creative friends.
Check on each other.

So...look out for one another 😉
