Words of comfort, encouragement and wisdom

To all the beautiful people 🌞

Words placed in a particular order can have a profound effect on us.

Words can bring us a moment of comfort, give us a different perspective, or change the course of our thinking and outlook entirely.

I would like this to be a space where we share quotes that have meaning to us or that have the potential to bring some comfort or encouragement to somebody, even if just for the moment in which they are reading it.

I will start.

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher

Go gently with yourselves lovely people.

Thanks for these Peppermint, and your kind words. I'm struggling but still trying 🙂 I've come down wuth a bad headache tonight...maybe this is the physical manifestation of a lot of mental/emotional pain...

Feeling unsure and lost is part of your path. Don’t avoid it. See what those feelings are showing you and use it. Take a deep breath. You’ll be okay. Even if you don’t feel okay all the time.

It is good to feel lost...because it proves you have a navigational sense of where Home is. You know that a place that feels like being found exists. And maybe your current location isn’t that place, but...that unsettled, uneasy feeling of lost-ness just brought you closer to it.

P.S. Music_Freak: I’m glad you’re still trying. I admire your efforts, despite considerable pain. I hope your headache has eased...

Not sure if these have been shared here before or not.

1. Bad thoughts are like bullies, they sound strong but they're weak underneath, and they lie

2. People cry, not because they are weak, but because they've been strong for too long

Hi Just Sara.

That passage really effected me,so true, the seasons of the earth and their cycle as well as the heart. The book sounds interesting so thanks, I will read it. Maybe it can help me with accepting chronic pain and anxiety and hardships of life.

Wishing you well Lumlo

Mantra - मन्त्र ॐ 唵 - Take me, Lead me, Help Me, Show Me

How should you treat a mental patient
If you want them to become well?
Remember, they might be impatient
They want to get out of their Hell

Every day, in every way
I’m getting better and better
I breathe in, and I breathe out
And I will choose if I matter

First you must research, why are they there?
Once you have an answer to that
It’s time to show them you really care
Take off your psychologist hat

I’m bigger than my problems
And I will choose to get through this
My values are important
Then as always, this too shall pass

Don’t show pity, show them empathy
Tell them that “who they are matters”
Do not be long winded... brevity...
But think, any harsh word shatters

Failure will lead to success
Be not afraid to let it go
I am stronger than I think
This all won’t matter tomorrow

Take notes, you should write down what they say
Every one of them will forget
Find their triggers, why they loose their way
Teach them to find a safety net

Handle uncomfortable
All I can do is do my best
This is only for today
I am enough for any test

Do not let others answer for them
That is not what it is they seek
There must be no generalisation
Every person there is unique

I am in control of me
This is but a moment of pain
I have been knocked down before
And I can get back up again

If they run way, that’s what they need
Optional participation
Therapy should help them to be freed
And not become anger causation

My life is beneficial
I am not in any danger
White green yellow blue red black
Let lunacy be the stranger

Take me from the unreal to the real
Lead me from darkness into light
Help me so that again I can feel
Show me how I can win this fight

On courage:

If you don’t try at anything, you can’t fail...it takes backbone to lead the life you want.
