I stay well by:

1 I changed my relationship to the society I AM forced to live in. It is Corrupt, competitive, cruel and greed based and not at all how we should live together in cooperation harmony and mutual respect. I realised that this "slavery" was the cause of my soul pain or depression if you like.

2 By the use of "I" statements and owning everything I say and not hiding behind "WE" or "YOU" statements.

3 By deprogramming my self from codependent behaviour.

4 By taking total responsibility for everything that happens in my life. I AM Master and Commander of my life.

5 By trusting my In-Tuition.

6 By following my heart

7 By going barefoot and getting as close to nature as I can

8 'Anything that is not nurturing for me i call the "Beast". I no longer feed the beast!

9 By KNOWING that there is No-Thing wrong with me!

Hope this resonates. Love Bob

Hi Journeyman

Good post, anything that can steer us all towards the better light is positive.

Bob, being commander of our lives is the one that impressed me. Far too often some of us allow our past to be an over bearing influence as we cant put it to rest or tuck it away at the back of our minds and get on with living our lives. These things, memories from hell, keep slipping to the front of our brains to cast other happy times aside.

Being your own commander is an answer we can work on.

Awesome Bob. May I please add:

10) By accepting and surrendering to my situation

11) By not identifying with thoughts and feelings, as neither of them are "me" nor do they define "me"

Best,

Steve

Thankyou. As a qualified ships Master I am responsible for everything that happens on the vessel I AM in command of, so I just took this ideology and applied it to my life. Some folks call it being Sovereign but I am not comfortable with some of the images that tis word conjures up. So, as Master and Commander of my life I take full responsibility for everything that happens in my life. I waste no time on trying to understand why something happened for the WHY is always in the past so I just look at what is on my plate right now and deal with that , what lessons can i learn from this event and what can I take forward with me on my own journey. Everything in my life happens for a reason but i do not need to know the reason just learn the lesson in front of me. I love this one from "Eckhart Tolle'"   (Totally let go of the need to understand anything)  Works for me! Hope this resonates. Love Bob.

Hi Steve, As Master and Commander of my life I set my life purpose to be "To simply find my own Truth" so that's the big one out of the way. Then I thought . How do I wish to experience my life? so I set my own conscious life intention which is 'I AM here to have: A Gentle, Joyful, Loving and Abundant Life" and now that is how my life unfolds for that is the Command I gave to the Universe for  I AM Creator as is everyone.  All this may appear a little weird but I love weird and is merely the result of a thirty year Journey that was initiated by the soul pain of my own depression. For me "Phealings are Healings" which is why I spell the word that way and 'Thinking is Headspace, Knowing is Heartspace"! Hope this resonates. Love Bob.

Hi

"Master and Commander" interesting concept.

If you google "Topic: depression, a ship on the high seas- beyondblue"  A metaphor about acceptance in the world of depression.

Hop you find that interesting.

For me Depression has been a gift and it is just one of the five stages of Waking up see youtube "The Gift of Depression" and "The Five Stages of waking up" or awakening. I no longer suffer from depression it was just a period or growing pain that I had to work through. for me 'Mental Illness is a myth supported by psychiatrists and psychologist that hold up a billion dollar drug industry. There is NO scientific proof of depression or anxiety disorders just the best guess of a lot of victims.  Last time i checked I AM the only expert on my life. I AM content and I AM living my dream and I know I made it manifest. Hope this resonates. Love Bob.

Hey Bob

Great to see you again 🙂 I have taken the liberty of taking a couple of pointers off you and I quote "The Gift of Depression" and "The Five Stages of waking up" Really appreciate it and thankyou so much.I will have a look see

Kind Thoughts for you

Paul

for me all are equal and all are unique! All I have is my story and it is my fervent hope that by sharing my story my discovered truths that some elements may resonate with other folks and help them on their way. I have no ones answers! I believe that everyone has to find their own way because ALL are Unique!

I spent most of my working life in Engineering (Automotive Research mainly) and so I have a mechanical approach to my own Journey. A long the way I have collected a set of tools that I keep in my spiritual toolbox and will share them as this tale unfolds.

My #1 tool is "MY mind is just a tool that I use when I choose". I AM not my mind and I treat my mind like I do my little terrier. When he gets feisty I throw him a stick and off he goes. I do the same with my mind a give it a task to do and come back to me with the answer. In this way my mind no longer intrudes into my well being! I also have a visualisation that I use to completely shut down my mind, very useful at times as you may imagine! and here is something amazing: it wasn't untill I silenced my mind that I could finally hear Myself!

Hope this resonates. Love Bob

Here is another youtube for you "The Scam of Psychiatry" lots of material there mate!
