I have been struggling eating and eating healthy foods over the last couple of weeks. I really do not want to go back further to how I use to eat, that is eating junk food, takeaways, copious amounts of chocolate, processed junk and comfort eating.
Finding it challenging to stay motivated to actually prepare what I know helps me feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. Plus I have been feeling overwhelmed with other stuff happening in my life, which somehow makes it more challenging. The old unhealthy comfort eating thing is coming back. And I think I am getting concerned and scared about that. I so much do not want to go back to how I use to be. I was so sick. Plus I now have some physical things not right in my body , so I need to be more careful and mindful of what I eat. ( Pre cancer cells , high blood pressure )
I was eating really well since Febuary of this year, it’s just the last couple of weeks I haven’t.
So I would like to use this thread to help me be accountable to Beyond Blue people. So like a diary where I can post and report what I eat. And also any healthy eating tips, motivating strategies to help eat better or anything related to healthy eating for our bodies including our mental health.

Day 13 with no chocolate
Yesterday I cannot remember if I had breakfast or not.
Lunch... Subway, 6 inch falafel with salad
Dinner.. Stir fry of onion, yellow capsicum, green beans, celery, homegrown cherry tomatoes, garlic, and a peanutty sauce ( peanut butter, sweet chili sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, water) Then topped with toasted flaked almonds. I was visiting my sister, so I made this stirfry with some ingredients she had.
Snack.. Organic grapes, 2 chocolates on soy milk.
Today
Breakfast...2 slices of wholegrain toast with peanut butter and strawberry jam. We buy that yummy jam, in a beautiful tall jar. It has no added sugar.

Nice work MM. And Shell. I have been binging for 4 months and gained heaps of weight. Today i tried to eat properly.
Breakfast. Milk coffees; fresh fruit and yoghurt.
Lunch. Milk coffees. Had breakfast late.
Dinner. Spinach canneloni and veg.
The eating clinic suggest to eat regular proper meals to avoid the binging; so that is what i did today. It is a struggle though; having a bad relationship with food. I guess u all on this thread get that too.

This juice challenge that I recently started I lasted 2 days. I was aiming for 7.. but yeah didn't get there.
Today..
Brunch I made "Happy Pear" 5 minute baked beans. I really like watching these twins from Ireland cook on ytube. Mine took longer then 5 minutes though.
Dinner... A bowl of vegetables. Roast potato, carrot, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, peas. And I drizzled over cashew white sauce
Snack... Plums, 2 ice chocolates on soymilk
Basic White sauce using cashews
Cashews, lemon, salt, water nutritional yeast. Blend until smooth and creamy
Ah I have eaten chocolate. Yesterday it was. I had an emotional not nice experience while shopping. On the drive home..... I wasn't thinking straight. So pulled into the 24 hour service station and bought some. I am ok now about it but felt so disappointing in myself before. I wanted a clean slate into 2022 with no junk. Well it is what it is...

Hello dear Golden, your heart is on the right place wanting to eat properly, Yoghurt is good isn't it.. With all those healthy what do you call it? Can't think of the word. But healthy for the gut. I bought some coconut yoghurt the other day.
I hear you about the binging. I did that last year too, for months. So much chocolate every single day.
I wonder how we can change it into a good relationship with food? Being thankful maybe for food. Smelling how beautiful it can be maybe. Like the sweet smell of a pineapple. Yeah idk.
Awesome choice of the fruit vegetables. What is your favourite fruit anyway?

Good on you for going to the gym MM. I knew you were experiencing struggles in getting there. Like just getting out of your place to get there, sort of thing.
Are you happy with what you are eating.
