Three things to be thankful for today

Some days it is really hard to find anything to be thankful for when we feel overcome by the darkness and fog of depression. If I look hard enough, I can find something to be thankful for.

I would like to encourage others to write down three things they are thankful for, and to realise there is a sense of hope available to us all. Sometimes it is just a little hard to find!

So my three things for today are:

1: The lovely singing of birds in the morning as they welcome in the new day

2: The ability to read and write

3: A lovely hot shower.

Wishing all the "family" in BB Land a day full of noticing the nice things in life. Kind regards to you all, from Dools.

Today I am amazingly thankful for

1) My husband who has just booked me a two night stay at a beach side hotel all by myself!

2) There aren't too many days left before I get to have my two nights of time out!

3) I will be near the beach! Excellent!

Oh, how blessed am I!

I should have a birthday every month not just once a year! Ha. Ha. Ha.

Thankyou you so much.  You spoke to my soul today.  I needed to hear this!  Hope you enjoy your day, you have made helped shift my negative thoughts about myself

Hi Pitterpatter,

I would like to welcome you to the Beyond Blue Community.

Thanks for posting here. I hope you stick around and start up your own post when you are comfortable to do so.

Sometimes it can take a little effort to see the good that happens in your day and to find something to be thankful for.

Hoping you have a good weekend.

Cheers from Mrs. Dools

Today I am thankful for

1) My husband who tried to make my Birthday a special day

2) Cute little lambs chasing each other in a paddock

3) The ability to laugh when I feel like crying.

Cheers to you all, from Mrs. Dools

Hi everyone,

This is a beautiful thread, and such a simple way that we can all stay well and develop resilience to the things life throws our way. It's really important to take time out to be thankful for what we have, so props to whoever began this thread and to all of you for participating.

Today i'm thankful for

1) Tea, it almost singlehandedly gets me through exam study

2) My beautiful girlfriend who makes everyday worthwhile

3) that i'm at a place individually where that even if I didn't have 1 and 2, I know i'd be okay, these things improve my life, but they are not what my world is build on.

Hi all

this is my first post and I'm not sure how this works but have been reading the forums for a while so I'm sure someone will help me out. The 3 things I'm grateful for today are (1) my children especially today as my son lost a friend on the weekend to suicide. (2) I got out of the mental health unit at our local hospital after 7 weeks and a suicide attempt and (3) my grandson made me cry because I love him so much.

I wish everyone a wonderful day tomorrow
