Dear All
The purpose of this thread is as a meeting point for those that can’t sleep and it is late (I.E. AFTER midnight.)

It can be a useful space for users to share their issues with insomnia as well as coping strategies. It can also be a general space for users to converse and support one another throughout a difficult night.

Please note – for those that are just bored or lonely we already have a place - the BB Café, which I recommend instead of here

Hope you do sleep well whenever you do. And truly bounce on out when the sun is up

Haa thx shell and the same back . Well l'm often bouncing off walls stumbling down to the kitchen for my first coffee, how's that.

Hope you get some sleep at some point. rx

Ha ha, you must be really into your coffee. Bouncing of walls is quite impressive. Like a ninja.

I really want to try trampolining, they bounce of trampolines that are on the walls. Do somersaults etc. Haha might be something you would be good at.

I am still wide awake. Heading on to 2am. Going to have a warm shower and see if that will help now.

Bounce... bounce.. bounce

See you

Hello to all Night Owls!

Hey Ecomama! Thanks for the suggestion to finish my dream. What an interesting idea! I’ll give this a go 🙂

I’m sorry to hear it’s been a rough time for you. How are you doing after the memorial? You have our love and support here.

I’ve noticed for myself at least that very deep feelings resurface at night, so it’s no surprise that grief comes up in this thread.

Hey Sleepy! How annoying to have a good night’s sleep yet wake up tired! I tried sleeping tablets for a short while but I couldn’t handle how I felt in the morning - I just wanted to keep sleeping and felt so groggy for ages until it wore off.

My favourite sleep, when possible, is a very short nap during the day. It tends to be more relaxed and restful.

Hi Lilly Lane I had some sort of sleep last night but full of weird dreams and waking 5 or 6 times and having to go to the latrine. So tired this morning.Just listening to the birds outside my window.Stared of with just one and now seems to be all different ones singing and chatting away.

Haaa nah , l mean as l bump into them 1/2 asleep, and doorways, ouch , until l get my coffee. lt's a pretty bizarre trip down to my kitchen or bathr especially if your not a morning person. You gotta turn right, left , right again, left and then right again, or something like that, its a kind of very long S shape and there's 3 different halls to get to the bathr . House is one of those big old ramblers goes all over the place.

We joke that we need a cab down to the kitchen, it's a long windy road from the br's . l counted the steps too once from the bathroom back up to the front of the house and the br's . l forget now how many steps but it's a lot. Funny , people always say things like my God you do some miles in the house don't ya. Yep.

Ahh.. I see what you mean

Hey Mark,

Thats a very interrupted night getting up so many times! It must be so tiring. Do you end up napping during the day?

I don’t really like where our toilet is in our house. Would prefer it be a bit further away down a hallway or something. It’s a smallish older style house which has had rooms added to it here and there as people needed them I guess.

My apologies, I should have said ‘bathroom’ or similar. I’m not sure if what I said is considered impolite in conversation these days.
