Hi everyone,
Not sure where to start so hope I can express myself clearly and maybe with others' input we can expand on this. I'm interested in people's thoughts/ experience with meditation, manifesting, gratitude & the law of attraction. I've recently started using the Smiling Mind app to meditate when going to sleep and sometimes when feeling a little anxious, like tonight. It is something i thought i could never do as my mind rarely stops, however, with persistence, I find I enjoy it. I guess i tend to have a negative mindset which I am determined to change.I always felt uneasy about thinking positive things as i thought i would jinx myself, and that whenever I made a positive comment or felt happy it would go wrong or something negative would happen. So i refrained from allowing myself to be too happy, I guess to 'protect' myself. Recently i have been feeling happier, stronger, expressing gratitude and taking note of when things have come to me when i needed them. Coincidence, or answers to what i put out to the Universe? I like to think the latter. A work colleague one day told me to manifest something i wanted, put it out to the universe , so I'm trying. Example, recently we needed to measure the floor space at reception so we could calculate how many people we could have in at one time. I needed a tape measure, which i did not have. At that moment our handyman walked into the office. Guess what he had? I am getting into the habit of practising positive thinking instead of thinking/expecting negatives. If something 'negative' does crop up, it can be dealt with, it's not the end of the world. I look for the positive in every negative situation. I am becoming more aware of being grateful for little things, things like getting a good car park at work, a warn cosy bed, a tidy house. I feel when i am expressing gratitude I am putting positive thoughts out into the universe and I notice more positives instead of focusing on negatives. Late last week we had internet issues at work and a colleague i found a little annoying. I've been feeling very drained, agitated, negative for a few days. This morning things were not running smoothly for me. A result of my negative mind perhaps? Little things became a big deal, my morning was crap. If i look back, it wasn't really an issue, i just did things in a different order which gave me more relax time this evening. The Law of Attraction, positive thoughts, positive experiences.

Manifesting.
I have been thinking I may get a new couch. Not sure when but it's been on my mind. I know someone who is clearing out a house they've sold & said I can have whatever I want as it all needs to go. There is a pretty much brand new couch that is what I'd like. I'm measuring it up today to see if it'll fit my family room so who knows...I may have a new couch soon.

Through your encouragement, I've seen the opportunity to begin collecting my new wardrobe of clothes, beginning yesterday. Your desire to manifest is contagious and I'm deeply grateful to have met you as one of the most inspiring people in my life. You inspire reformation 🙂

A year ago I posted this re my work;
'I can visualise myself in a quiet workspace where I am confident and just getting the work done. I feel light, clear headed a free. This is how I felt when I started the role, before her (my colleague)constant negativity and wingeing started to wear me down. I knew I was where I belonged, kept seeing recurring numbers. I don't see them much anymore and I'm doubting myself. I can see myself back on a happy space.'
Guess what...it's happening as I wished. My wish now is for it to continue 🙂

The couch I was talking about is not gonna work out but that's OK. I am grateful for realising that there is too much negative energy around it. I thought there would be but needed to see it to know. All the signs were there that it is not for me.

Hi CMF
Can you get a sense of what the 'down' is about? Definitely hard to pick at times. Is it something that's physically sickening, such as a bug of some type? From what you say, this could simply be the case. It's amazing the number of things that can bring us down. Something or someone can be draining us. We could be dealing with a 'heavy' subconscious belief that's beginning to surface, one that needs addressing/closer inspection and letting go of? We could be in desperate need of 'charging up'? Natural inspiration, greater hydration, more restorative sleep, a break from too much thinking (mental/emotional exhaustion), a more self loving diet, some solar power (vitamin D) are just some of the things that can act as natural medicine. Is there anything that might be missing? Are we down because of a lack of something? Could a lacking involve chemistry (iron, B12, dopamine etc)? We're such complex creatures.
I find the mind/body/spirit approach can sometimes help in getting to the bottom of things. Is it a mental issue (internal dialogue, thought processing etc)? Is it a physical issue, involving a bug or a lack of what we physically need in order to function beautifully (chemistry included)? Is it a lack of soulful practice or a lack of a soulful connection? Could meditating on a more soulful connection, opening up that channel, do the trick? While some may refer to opening that channel as 'meditating' others may refer to it as 'prayer'. Each to their own. Whatever is relatable and works best.
Do you feel like your body's screaming at you 'Just take a break. Let me naturally rest, relax and recharge. Let me do what I do best and stop getting in the way of the process of me returning to greater health'? I swear, if my body could speak, it would say 'My god woman, you have some seriously sickening habits'. Smoking cigarettes would be one. These days I feel the intense need to break that habit. You know a habits bad when you can feel it slowly destroying you. Time to come up with a solid plan.

Hi therising,
I know certain events have triggered me a little. I was unwell Monday but feeling better now. Funny thing, I manifested more money & got a nice pay rise & gift voucher but my bank balance is so low. I can't work it our. I get paid monthly so 2 weeks before pay day I often start to feel anxious. I have paid lots of big bills & helped my daughter buy a car etc so I guess it's to be expected. I got a pay rise, don't have High School fees yet going backward. I think it will settle a bit in next month or so when pay rise kicks in. We'll I hope so loo.
Also, I didn't get much training in my current role & a colleague from another office knows all these things I don't. Made me anxious & like I didn't deserve the pay rise even though I'm doing the job & working hard. We get a new system in a few months so we'll all be learning from scratch.
I think I just need to boost my confidence & readjust my thoughts.
