JUICING for mental health

Hi all 👋

I've recently bought a juicer and have been making fruit/veg juices and have noticed it making a difference to my mental health. I'm clearer, more energized and I just know I'm giving my body many health benefits by drinking pure extracted fruits and vegetables. I thought I'd start this thread for us juicers or wannabe juicers to share juicing recipes. It's become my new "thing".

It tasted sweet, a bit tangy, refreshing and a bit earthy. Quite yum really. Beautiful colour too

Hi everyone,

Popped back in because I just made a new juice with what I had left over in the fridge.

2 small oranges

1/2 peeled de-seeded lemon

2 handfuls baby spinach

1 large carrot

Small piece ginger

1 green apple

Turmeric

I felt the need to get some fruit & veg into my diet today plus needed the medicinal properties of the ginger to boost me through the end of a cold and the anti- inflammatory properties of the turmeric to help heal some pain. Just trying stuff out.

I'm still a huge fan of juicing...and blending and still haven't bought a sugary one from the supermarket since investing in my juicer.

Sounds really nourishing that juice MM.

I was attempting to do another smoothie /juice challenge. I only lasted 1 day. So I may keep posting in here.

I made your juice earlier on MM. I had everything except the turmeric. It tasted tangy and nourishing. Pretty sure ginger can be good for pain as well.

Thankyou so much your post helped me to get to it. I was struggling with motivation. I just simply made the juice after I read your post.

My blood pressure has been high, so the medical people have said. That is one reason I like to put beetroot in some juices to help lower it. Which it has in the past.

Oh great Shell,

Yeh it was a tangy one.

The beetroot one I make is my fave. Raw beets, celery, carrots, apples, and watermelon. Makes me feel really good.

These are great recipes monkey and some of the best are the ones we make randomly.Ginger is such a great healing ingredient to put in.

Hi MM, Mark and all

Been slow going with making a juice. But I did it. It had:

2 apples

1 zucchini

1/2 parsnip

2 handfuls of spinach

Juice of 1 lime

Maybe something else, cannot remember. Brain is not concentraing good. Not enough sleep.

But juice did feel nourishing, and lime is yummy

That does sound awesome. Gosh I love watermelon. I may have made it before too, if you mentioned it previously. I cannot remember.

I made your one with the oranges in it again. I put more ginger in it this time. So a bit less tangy, more gingery. But I liked drinking it.

Wow Shell,

You are definitely one for making unique and surprising juice combinations!

Getting those nutrients in is sure to give your skin a clear and healthy glow!

Hi Matchy!

Hi all,

MM, yes definitely my skin does look clearer, healthier. Juicing carrots, beetroot and cucumber in particular makes my skin look like that.

Today I made a variation of your orange one. It had oranges, lemon, apple, carrots, 1 /2 cucumber, cos lettuce and ginger. Very nourishing feeling.
