I've recently bought a juicer and have been making fruit/veg juices and have noticed it making a difference to my mental health. I'm clearer, more energized and I just know I'm giving my body many health benefits by drinking pure extracted fruits and vegetables. I thought I'd start this thread for us juicers or wannabe juicers to share juicing recipes. It's become my new "thing".

This is an awesome thread. I have just started juicing for health (physical and mental)... loving it so far. Most definitly getting much more nutrients then ever before into me thats for sure. Only early days. I suffer a few dif mental problems and physically suffer with IBS and other digestive problems... so thought why not. Juicing and Bone Broths (well stew and broth) ... lets hope it helps in some way or another.
Thanks for the few dif ideas to try. I have been doing carrots, celery, capsicum, kale, apples, pears, ginger, rockmelon, watermelon... just to name a few... then blend in some frozen fruits/berries.... having fun mixing up the combinations... any suggestive blends I must try?! I will give it a go. I read about juicing sweet potato, yet to try it tho. But i will haha.

Monkey Magic and Shelll have some beautiful ideas for smoothies here.... hoping ull get some good tips!
I don't make them much although have always bought them as a treat and enjoyed trying diff flavours.

I'm no expert but I looked online for juices that can help the digestive system and IBS. Also, I have found that juicing has kept me regular.
1 celery stick
2 handfuls kale
1/4 fennel or 1 cucumber
1cm ginger
2 pears
Or
2 apples
5 kale leaves
1/2 cup parsley
1/4 lemon peeled
1cm ginger
Rockmelon is delicious. I would cut it up and blend it with ice, some coconut milk or water. ( Any milk really depending on your taste)
Or you can even add a frozen banana to the mix for extra creaminess.
I haven't tried capsicum in a smoothie.
Mishmo feel free to share any juice recipes with us.

I didn't know this but apparently coconut milk can decrease the bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol, just did some reading on it.
Dates would definitely be a much better alternative to sugar added for something sweet. I personally like the taste of dates.

At home I have coconut milk, yoghurt, desiccated coconut, coconut flakes and coconut sugar.
Another fruit I really like is papaya. I always feel really good after eating papaya so keep your eyes peeled for a papaya smoothie recipe lol.

Hey hey monkey!
I FINALLY got to juice the oranges I peeled lol. I took the WHOLE lot to Alexa's, including my juicing machine, and juiced them freshly there.
Plus took the sprouted Chia seeds and added 1/4 fresh pomegranate (juicy bubbles lol) on top of the juice. Some seeds sank to the bottom, some seeds stayed on the top and some seeds were suspended in the middle.
We needed a spoon lol.
It looked SO PRETTY! All orange with red streaks and bubbles of red and black.
It was delicious!
I LOVE coconut in any form and papaya - they were part of my "baby food" being born in Asia.
I've got a papaya tree growing now! Would love to see it fruit one day. It's only a baby atm.
Besides the medicinal benefits of juices for our whole body, there are other uses for the peels etc. My grandmother taught me to put papaya skin on fresh scar tissue to help it heal. I think it really worked! Hence pawpaw ointment I guess... food for thought lol.
Love EM

Hello, I don't often have coffee, because it can make me jittery and keeps me up at night. I only have it very occasionally and early in the morning. This morning I wanted one. I made a mocha .
Serves 1
1 teaspoon instant coffee
1 teaspoon cacao powder
I pitted medjool date (diced up small depending on how powerful your blender is)
Bonsoy soy milk or milk of choice
And 1 small ripe banana (one with black spots)
I served mine over ice.
