Hi all,

Currently taking gen math and failing. It has taken a toll on my well-being and i have an upcoming exam in a few days i need a B on the exam to pass general math for the year. I try my best, study until i can’t anymore but i always fail. while everyone’s having fun on holidays soon i’m going to be stuck at school doing maths for 2 weeks and i won’t be able to do it next year… everyday keeps getting worse the amount of pressure building inside of me is making me sick.

Ahhh , comeon. Don't be so hard on yourself , ok. Try to look at it in that even if you didn't pass anyway, it's not the end of the world, really , it isn't . Education or any one subject isn't everything , yaknow.

lt just isn't. And courses and unis if that's what you'd like to do later are all making all kinds of allowances and creating all sorts of ways and new variations these days to help people into whatever area they want to choose, don't worry.

Even my sister who's a lecturer told my daughter marks aren't everything there's always ways to get in and started or even catch up again later too if needed but she reckons that usually isn't even necessary anyway.

Some of the most successful people in the world actually dropped out of school early, even one of Australia's treasurer's.

And eh , not that l'm in that bracket by a long shot but l dropped out early too but l've had my own business all my working life.

Try to get that pressure of yourself and relax ok , the universe will look after you if you let it . There's always more than one way to build anything, anything.  Always.

Take care. rx

Hello,

I have some advice, I hope it’s helpful.

It’s a good thing that you are studying, however if you aren’t getting enough rest then it probably won’t help. Make sure that even when your stressed you get a good amount of sleep, food, water and breaks. Make sure that you don’t study too long without a small break or two. It’s not healthy to put so much pressure on yourself.

Some tips for during the exam:

There is a chemical in your brain that stops your memory from working as well as it should when stressed, e.g. in an exam. This is why it is often difficult to remember things you need to remember while in a test or examination. Make sure that even if you forget how to do a question that you stay calm and come back to that question later.

i hope this was helpful!
