Can you think of 5 things you noticed or observed in nature today, using all your senses?
I was wondering if this would be a beneficial exercise to help us focus on something else instead of painful emotions, troubled thoughts, over thinking, anxiety feelings and the darkness of that alone place.
As well as to see that there really is beauty all around us....

1.... felt warm tears roll down my cheeks
2.... saw the top of a pink radish growing in the garden
3.... heard the barking from the German Shepherd ( Harry) in nextdoors backyard
4.... tasted the sweetness of fresh pineapple
5.... Smelt the scent of oats, almonds, coconut and peanut butter toasting in the granola baking in the oven

Look up to the Sky
When you feel sad, You may look to the ground.
Missing the blessings that are all around.
So today I encourage you to look up to the sky,
and take notice of the things so high.
You may see some clouds, fluffy and white,
or a flock of white waterbirds in hasty flight.
Or you may see the stars so very bright,
shining through the sky of the night.
The sun may be up there, amongst the blue,
giving is warmth to me and to you.
So I urge you today to look up to the sky,
and be thankful for noticing the things up high.
And also I want you to really know,
that perhaps the sadness you feel may start to go.
Me xx

Last night
1..... I heard that screech noise that a bat makes ( yuck, yuck)
2.... I saw the black wings of the bat as it flew over ( again yuck, yuck)
3.... I tasted fresh corn on the cob ( yum , yum)
4.... I smelt the scent of a pineapple in the veggie section in the supermarket.
5.... I felt the water go through my hair as I washed it

In my tiny (messy) unit backyard through the laundry door I watched a simple sparrow busily collecting many bits of dry grass. It was good to watch, if only to distract me from how I was feeling for a minute.
Listening to the Crows in my front yard. I never used to like them much & preffered the Magpies that made friends with me easier. But now I realise that the crows, especially being large birds need to eat & feed their babies in the nest too.

Hey Ladybird,
What a beautiful post, I loved it. And I am so glad you watched the little sparrow collecting bits of dry grass. And your chosen name of "Ladybird" sort of fits in with your words. Beautiful....

I climbed onto my roof in the early morning and watched the cockatoos, parrots and magpies fly from tree to tree. I noticed how their calls were so distinctive from each other, and sounded different than in other times of day. I watched and heard the spring wind wshhhhhhh through the eucalyptus trees towering over the quiet neighbourhood. I felt the morning sun heat up the dusty roof tiles. Smelt the scent of new blossoms on the wind. Heard my dog desperately whining for me to come back down...
reached my hands up and breathed it all in

Hi m, ( swtpotato)
I felt like I was up on the roof with you. So glad you experienced all that. I could even hear the wshhhhh of the wind in my imagination as it moved through the leaves of the eucalyptus trees.
Beautiful m......

Hey monkey,
Well you did notice a few different colours of roses. Do you grow them? And do they have a scent.
Hope you are okay there...
