A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

Thankyou Paul xx

This is from Croix, Croix I want to thank you for your excellent description of depression and message of hope ~

" When depression takes over the idea of living loses its appeal. One can become isolated from everything, including oneself. A hard thing to explain. When I was suicidal it was as if there was a sheet of glass between me & the whole world & that included myself. At the time going on living was pointless. I was not connected to people or anything.

I'm not like that now, not because of any logical reasoning, but because the depression no longer has a hold, my thinking has reverted to my pre- depression state & I find I can take pleasure from things, enjoy a fair bit of life. I look forward to things."

Your message to me described depression. It was sad then hopeful saying u can make it through. An encouraging and special message. I'd like to give you some rainbow coloured roses- they exist in flower shops & really stand out. Thanks for your continued support & support to so many.

Dear MM and all~

Thank you for that, I read your posts and really wish I could make things better. If you can see a little of yourself in my experiences then hopefully there is a little glimmer of light that things will improve and life will not be a constant grind, but a happier place

I have a special gift of tomatoes from my self seeded, totally neglected, but very bountiful tomato plant to DemonBlaster, BlondGuy, BballJ and Croix, who have all not only supported me, but provided me with light hearted moments as well. Thank you very much 🙂

Croix - your gift of words and wisdom is indicative of a life 'lived'; thankyou for giving of its treasures. I'm privileged to pay homage to you; a man of integrity and principle. "Some are born great; some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them"

TonyWK - you are a Maharaja Sunset! An individual expression of nature's enlightened rays of light streaming from your words. Sharing of your past and learning has become my grace. "There is a tide in the affairs of men which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune"

Pepper - For one so guarded, pushing the boundaries of openness as you have caused a burst of 'you' to shine thru. And what a pleasure it's been receiving and witnessing it! Thankyou.. "Though she be but little, she is fierce" and "Love sought is good, but given unsought is better"

Hi Sez and all,

Thank you so much. What a lovely and caring gesture and sentiment 🙂

I’m not entirely sure how to respond other than to say that I’m truly grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thank you for the uplifting words and quote.

You’re a beautiful and expressive person. How fortunate am I, along with others, to have crossed paths with you? Rhetorical question. We are all very, very blessed.

Thank you for being the person that you are...I like you for you (as I’m sure many others do too). Just keep being you...that’s all you ever need to be.

Love,

Pepper xoxo

P.S. Thanks for the zucchinis, Birdy 🙂
