A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

Well done Geoff!

hi Peppermintbach, a huge thank you for your kindness, I was actually told that you had written this for me by another great member of our group, and I do really appreciate it so much, probably more than anyone can imagine.
It's not often we get compliments, because most times we are just expected to be there responding to other people, so getting a compliment like this means the world to me, and I can't thank you enough. Geoff. x

Hey Geoff,

Aw you're welcome 🙂 I am glad my "bouquet" (technically a garden) meant something to you. You deserved the praise and mention.

Also, shout out and thank you to the other CC who told Geoff!

Hope you have an awesome day!

Pepper xo

Oh Geoff;

Startingnew wrote this earlier a few months back; I'm repeating it in your honour.

"The most beautiful people we've known are those who've known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss and have found their way out
of the depths. These people have an appreciation, a sensitivity and
understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness
and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people don't just happen"

Congratulations Geoffrey!

Sara xoxo

Big grateful smiles from me Corny;

  1. For mentioning me and others who appreciate your spectacular words.
  2. For being here again and sharing your wisdom born of pain.
  3. For the 80's anecdote that made me laugh and say "Awe.." with a gentle smile.
  4. For the flowers...little mountain men tied up with your dad's pipe cleaners.

You're a gem...

Sez xoxo

I would like to give Pysis a bunch of flowers, a box of chocolates and also a big bag of carrots for his pets.

Since meeting Pysis despite his own troubles he has been helping me out and encouraging me all the way and last night was no exception. He helped me work through a flashback and panic attack so thank you so much for that. hi Sarah, just popped back in and thankyou for providing that post for me, many times we just go on doing our job, well it's not a job because it's volunteer work, but comments are made that I'm sure I have missed, so it's lovely people has been able to let me know.

A compliment shouldn't go unnoticed, it's part of having a good self esteem. Thank you. Geoff.
