Hi all, This discussion is a space for all members to share suggestions and ideas to improve the Forums. This can be anything from how it looks, topics and themes, moderation, or community rules. While we might not be able to implement everything suggested here, we'd love to hear about what you think we can do better. We are really grateful to everyone who has contributed their ideas, and we're always keen to hear more. The issues we’re currently working on are: Notifications This is the top priority for us right now, as we know it can make keeping up with important conversations difficult. The Beyond Blue project team are working with our external provider to fix this, but it is a complicated issue and will take some time. We’ll keep you posted on our progress into the New Year. In the meantime, we've heard of some temporary solutions. If you haven’t yet, please try: Checking your Notification settings to make sure everything is switched on. Hitting Follow whenever you come across a post, thread or topic you’d like to hear about. Manually checking the conversations you’re part of by going to your Profile. Character Limit There’s a problem with our character counter, which sometimes stops posts that are under the character limit from being accepted. It’s our second priority! In the meantime, it’s best to stay well under the limit. If you’re not able to post and are under the limit by a considerable amount, try posting in two posts, and then using the Report button to ask the moderators to combine your posts or make an exception to the multiple posts rule. If your total text is under the stated limit, they should be able to do so. Thanks everyone. We’re truly grateful for your feedback, tips and queries – they are awesome! I'm starting a new discussion because I am feeling totally lost with this new set up.I can' locate any of the old threads I used to feel comfort in reading and occasionally contributing to.I don't feel at all welcome in this new set up, far from it, ... View more

I'm starting a new discussion because I am feeling totally lost with this new set up.I can' locate any of the old threads I used to feel comfort in reading and occasionally contributing to.I don't feel at all welcome in this new set up, far from it, I feel more disconnected than ever while at the same time people can see everything I have ever written, but I am having trouble contacting others!To anyone else who feels a little confused and unwelcome, I totally understand!I am disorientated and hope to feel more orientated somehow!I receive notifications, but when I click on them, I can't even find the notification.The Newest to Oldest option doesn't seem to work.I have commented on a couple pf other posts about my struggles with the new set up...but can't find those posts anywhere!It seems to me that if I start up this new discussion, then I should be able to find it under my own profile?Maybe I will just chat with myslef here for a while until I either figure this new system out of give up!

Noticing some are having problems with the new forum and thought I would share a little. I also understand (and have some of) the frustrations many of you will have. I thought I would add a little thread here for people to share their tips to make things easier. I leave the default sort setting from old to new. I will go down to the bottom of the first page, and then click on the button that is for the last page to get to the latest post/reply. This saves me from having to check sort order or dates or ... PS. If you want to add other text in addition to the tip, somehow highlight the tip in bold.
