I'm new to the site. I have Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and am approximately 6 weeks pregnant. I don't know exactly how many weeks because I can't leave my house. I am not coping with this and am having to deal with this alone. Has this happened to anyone before? The thoughts are intrusive and I can't tell whether it is the depression or if I genuinely hate my partner too. I am supposed to have had the 4 antenatal blood vials done. The GP is literally 1km down the road but I cant even go into my back yard. I am used to getting depressed. But this is the worst I have ever had it. I am not looking for any suggestion that involves leaving the house or using my phone to help. I've been through the ringer with mental health facilities etc. I just want to know if anyone has experienced the same as me. I'd like to feel less alone. This is my first baby, if you don't count the one I lost a year ago. And I feel nothing but Dread. I have no idea what I'm doing and trying to figure it all out on my own, in my house with the internet.
Thanks

Hi Jan (I hope you don't mind that I used an acronym of your name!),
Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear what you are going through. There are several resources on this site for you to look up given you don't feel up to going outside for help right now. See:
https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/get-immediate-support
https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/who-can-assist
https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/find-a-professional
https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/national-help-lines-and-websites
Take a browse through these and see which may be of help to you. In the interim, I would suggest speaking to a doctor and getting a referral to somebody who can help you. It is a tough thing you are faced with, but you can get past it and for the sake of yourself and your child you have all the reason in the world to try. Just because it feels like there is no cure nor reprieve, this is not true. Much is unseen. The air we breathe, the energy that gives us life etc. We are surrounded by options, we just need to seek in the right places with the right tools.
Come back and chat if we can be of help to you. All the best.
Steve

Hey justanumber,
Welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out.
I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling; do you have many people around you at the moment? You mentioned your partner; does he support you? What about friends and family?
Although I don't have a baby, I do have a history of trauma and anxiety - and also working through fears of leaving the house - and yes, even my Doctors clinic was 1k down the road. So I can see why you are struggling and the pressure on you at this time.
I'm not sure if this is relatable enough so if you like you are welcome to try other places that might have more people online that can help you feel less alone such as PANDA which have forums - http://www.panda.org.au/ or even this link (which actually shows people with pregnancy and PTSD) - https://www.myptsd.com/c/threads/pregnancy-and-ptsd.6184/
I hope this helps 🙂
