In line with my "when were you last truly happy" post, I wondered about what other people fear?
Is it an "every day fear", or is it a "just today" fear?
Do you fear getting out of bed? Do you fear opening the mail? Do you fear the phone ringing? Do you fear being alone? Do you fear the darkness descending? Do you fear confrontations? Do you fear rejection? Do you fear not feeling anything at all?
I wonder if just voicing that fear, sharing that fear, will help to take away it's power? Or will it give it life?
For me, my big fear at the moment is being found out. Fearing my kids or family will come across my posts. Fear a colleague will recognise my writing style or circumstances. Fear that someone will see through this big brave front I put on to get through the door each day. Fear that someone sees my vulnerability.

I fear making people angry at me.
I fear saying things they don't like.
I fear what they will say/do to me if I don't please them and behave and speak the way they want.
I fear arguments and confrontations of any kind - I fear asserting my views and needs.

i fear I wont ever have anyone to care for me.
i fear coming home to an empty house.
I fear my animals will die.
i fear my last 21years of dedication to someoneis now completely shattered.
i fear this being my first post, is not a very good one
i fear i will never have family.

You are not alone. Sorry to hear this happens to you.
i have migraine assoc vertigo. I go through exactly the same situation as you do when driving. As I am a carer, I am needed to drive, even just to get groceries.
does anything help calm you? I find a cold cloth can help me sometimes. I know it may sound strange ...but i repeat to myself, to try and stay calm. " it will pass".
Vertigo is very scary. Sometimes I feel nobody really understands how debilitating it can be.
I find when i get in the car and turn it on, the vibration of the car makes me feel wrong in my head and i just try so hard to concentrate and get through it. Its the motions, that make it worse.
Can you have someone support you, talk to you for car trips?
ive been struggling about what to do for it myself. I dont have any ody to drive me about,
take care of yourself.

It is almost 3pm. I haven't spoken to a single person all day.
I fear the silence.
I fear loneliness is coming for me...

Dear Camellias~
Talking of your fears is a good start here in the Forum and I'd like to welcome you. Reading between the lines I'm guessing you have been a carer for a very long time, and now maybe things are changing. The people here can draw from thier experiences to understand, always care and will wish to help.
Can I suggest you start your own thread? By posting here the majority of people will not get to see you. That would be a great pity and many would have advice and support for you if they knew, and perhaps you too may support others.
Just go to the Supporting family and friends area (or another if you prefer) and hit the New Thread button. Then maybe say a little about yourself.
While you are on the go, unless you have done so already, you will find the general information threads pinned to the start of Welcome and orientation useful.
I look forward to talking with you somemore
Thanks
Croix
