I started a business management course at TAFE but when my brother passed away, I left it and never went back to it, not something I would want to go back to I think.
When I got to step up when my boss was away I think I liked it because it something new, it was different, I got to work in a way that changed my perspective, it was hard, I had to try and juggle some of my normal tasks and manage the staff making sure everyone knew what they were doing. I did really like it.

Naah, too slow by post Jackson, thanks anyway. I'm happy enough with my instant at the moment.
Do you mind if I ask you something - only answer if you want to. The anxiety that happened last night was pretty full on hey? Has this happened before? You handled it very well by the way.
I ask because if it's something that happens from time to time, or often, you can get some help to control it. And often if people don't get some treatment, it can escalate and become quite disabling. Just something to be aware of.
How's the surf looking?

You can't pick out a uni course just because it's available, 2 to 1 on you wouldn't like it after all, and do all the qualifications after your name give you a job you like anyway, probably not, you shouldn't be pushed into a career you don't want to do,
Your mum is very wise and understands what you want to do, don't and never be forced into doing something you don't want to do, life is hard enough with so many different pressures, do what you decide on. Geoff.

It happens a lot, a few times a week at least. Sometimes it comes out of the blue, like I'll be on my way to work or a friends house and my heart will start racing and I'll feel really overwhelmed, but I can't figure out what it is about work or other things that does that to me, because when I get there and push through it, its not bad. It's like my brain is against me, scaring me away from doing things. Other times I can identify why I feel that way, but it's still not necessary.
I don't think I'm going to go out for a surf today, I don't really feel up to it and the surf is a little rougher than it has been the last few days. My board that is best suited to these waves is getting repaired, I only have a long board at the moment which is good for small waves.

Hey Jackson,
A few times a week is quite a lot. Have you been to see your gp about this? As Kaz said, it is manageable but you need to make that first step.
You can keep posting here whenever you need, we've got you now and are here to support you. Do you think you could get in to see your gp sometime soon?

dont blame you for not having a surf today.
you did really well handling the anxiety mate. Your doc would treat many people every week with anxiety. Its a really common condition. I had it pretty bad in my early 20's. The GPs were really good and helped big time
good to see you Jackson....I might watch a bit of the Supercars from Perth today I think

What I have said is because that's exactly what happened to me.
My Dad was a doctor so when year 12 finished all I wanted to do was go out and work,
I've been thinking are you interested in doing an apprenticeship in a field that interests you, I know the wage won't be too great but at the end, you can become a qualified plumber, electrician, carpenter however you
Write down what you want to say to your doctor, that always seems to break the ice, all you have to do is answer the questions they feel are more important, it's starting point. Geoff.

Hey Jackson,
It's cool, i get that it can be scary to tell your gp? Do you know what scares you about it? Maybe because it is acknowledging that something is not right, that you need help? Maybe it is the fear of what will come after you tell him/her.
Can i suggest writing down what you would tell your gp and showing that to him/her. You could print this thread and show them as it shows your how you were feeling.
Making that first appointment is hard, it can be confronting but in the long run you can only benefit from it. As i said, you can always post here but if you are suffering this a few times a week a little more management is needed.
Any thoughts on that?
