Dear dear dear chris d, hi I'm another person here who has been where you are several times and trust me though it may seem like the only choice to you, it really is not! It is NEVER ever the right choice, despite what we convince ourselves at the time. which seems to be where you are now, would you agree? The thing is, our brains are so exhausted and stressed from our illness which is depression, that our brains create these horrible thoughts and we convince ourselves that its okay to have these ideas.
Its not you, dear sweet Chris, it's the illness, giving you these illogical thoughts. It is the illness. When we have depression, our brains are lacking in certain chemicals and cannot function properly. We cannot think straight, and our brains start having all these illogical thoughts telling us we are worthless etc. which simply aren't true!!!! Ever!!!!!
You were meant to be on this earth, you are meant to stay here for a very long time. You know deep down you are a kind, caring, loving person, and trust me the world needs you. People like you and all of us here are the most precious because of our gift of sensitivity.
Im not just saying this, these are facts, they're just too much for your stressed brain to cope with at the moment. It will get better, impossible to imagine right now I know, but all of us here are living proof and we are your friends. So please please please pick up the phone now and call the Beyond Blue emergency number - or Lifeline - and tell the person on the other end exactly what you've told us.
Are you feeling too stressed to get the numbers? Do you want me to message them back to you ? Please tell me ASAP

Never ever going to be happy again, everytime I am happy bad things always happen so there is no sense in being happy.
Seriously considering things, numerous places and plans in place in my head.
There is no hope for me and there never ever was.
I was put on earth to have short and meaningless life not a long and meaningful one. I'm so far past below hell i don't even know where i am.

Chris,
If I could just reach out to you I would. Please call the phone number given. We all care about you. If you just call them and tell them how you are feeling, they will help you.
The depression is making you think like this, it is NOT YOU. You have a life, a long life to live.
Everyone here is thinking of you, please seek help. Just one phone call and you will be supported.
Thinking of you
Jo

Chris D, glad to see you have posted again, however I am really worried about you. Have you rung the 1 300 22 4636 number yet? Please do.
Nothing is meant to be as painful as this. It's not a sign that you're hopeless, quite the opposite - your brain is sending you these messages as a cry for help, because your brain knows you are clever enough to seek help and sort it out.
So stop entertaining these plans - it's your stressed-out brain, it's not YOU. You are probably so stressed right now that you can't even remember what the real you is like, that's what it was like for me when I've been feeling like that. Depression is really powerful, it can convince us of absolutely anything - Chris, it is the depression it IS NOT YOU. Speaking from experience!!!
Where are you? Are you in a safe place? Are you with other people? If you are alone and scared I strongly recommend getting yourself to a hospital and telling them what is wrong. Just sit there and wait, sleep, doze, whatever until they can help you. Do not take no for an answer and do not pretend that everything is fine when it clearly is not.
We have a good health care system and you are entitled to everything you need. Ring Beyond Blue, get to a big hospital, tell someone you trust. Ring a doctor, or Lifeline. Do all of the above - do whatever it takes! PLEASE
No one was ever meant to suffer this way. You are not meant to suffer like this. You need to speak to a professional NOW. Don't let it go on any longer - ring the number and please get back to me to tell me you did.

Dear hamishandme,
I'm like this because the whole health system is not gd, that is why i have no confidence or faith or trust in anyone or any service.
The lack of help that i have recieved from the mental health service and the whole health system is really shameful. I even got told that the system is not in gd shape.
The most fustrating thing is they tell me i can talk to them and when i do they tell me to go away where not that kind of service. It has only been 3mnths since i was diagnosed with depression and already hav lost faith, trust and confidence in the system. This is why i'm going to go through this alone like i have done so many times and for so many yrs before hand.
I'M A LOST CAUSE.

Chris,
You are NOT a lost cause. You are suffering depression and when you have this illness you need help. You need help and help now. Please give someone a chance to help you. You deserve it.
You know there are so many people (including me) that have suffered depression for many years and yes it's a hard road but believe me you can get through this. and you will get through this.
So please please please give that number a call.
There are so many people on here thinking of you and worried about you.,
Jo xx

Chris you sound seriously suicidal. I beg you to phone beyond blue or to write down all your you are feeling so we can all support you. So many of us understand what it's like to reach a point where the pain consumes you. But it is the pain you want to destroy-not yourself. I appreciate when you are this low that it is difficult to reach out and you are consumed by wanting to make the bad feelings go away. When you reach the point you are at, it is SO important to do something to help yourself stop hurting. If you don't feel you can talk to someone on the phone, call an ambulance and just say you need help. If you can't do that-have you got anyone who can phone for you? You could even phone beyond blue and they may be able to get you help immediately. Please hold on, destroying yourself is not the answer. Getting help today will give you the support to get through this difficult time. Whenever I've felt desperate I've told myself its the pain of the illness I want to end-not my entire life. Please do something right away-either phone beyond blue or phone an ambulance. And please let us all know what you decide as a lot of us are worried about you and want to support you however we can. Please respond as soon as you can. You are in my thoughts, M
