Hi I have suffered depression for more than 10 years, triggered by a woman who does not want to let go of what she thinks is a relationship. Each time I try to finish it, there are threats of ruining my life and that of who I meet. She is married and nothing I say can convince her to stop. She has driven me to the lowest of lows from which it will be hard to recover. If by cutting my leg off it stopped the mental torture, I would do it. She has seen my decline and still wont stop. Thank you for any advice you can help me with.

Could you provide more information about the situation you are in?
It sounds as if this is a Ex-Girlfriend that still wants to be in a relationship? Am I correct in thinking this way?
Those threats, are just that Threats. there are things you can do to protect yourself, such as going to the police and asking for help, seeing a counsellor to gain other coping mechanisms in dealing with this women? Cutting her out of your life? maybe moving away and blocking her from every way of contacting you - although I do understand that this is not always possible?

Hi help could you hop on a plane and go on a holiday to get away from her for a little while it all sounds very draining and possessive . You cant let anyone control the way you think or feel otherwise the relationship starts looking and sounding dysfunctional. I agree with the last post definately go see a councillor or psych to give you some idea where you stand with all this and yes you might have to take legal action etc if it worsens definately get some professional help you cant live like this
