One of the many problems i have in my day to day life is that i feel alone... i know i have family and teachers i can talk to but i don't feel like they are helping enough for me to be past it... it's very hard for me to feel happy but so easy to make me feel unwanted, hurt, depressed... this is really annoying for me to where i just want to stay in my room and cry and sleep and don't get up for hours. i have been doing therapy for 2 years once a month and 4 months of group therapy every Monday Tuesday and Thursday. But i feel like it isn't working like since everyone else i have seen do therapy gets better and i'm not it makes me feel alone...

Hello Derpytwins , can I please welcome you to the site and thanks for posting your comment.
What depression does is that it may allow you to talk to someone, but when they return the conversation nothing registers with you, in other words, it goes straight through you.
You don't remember what they say, that's not your fault, it's depression that does this, sure you might join in and laugh with them, but that doesn't mean you're happy.
Everybody is different, there is no general rule that says someone will get better after a few months of therapy, it doesn't happen that way, some take much longer and some are fortunate enough to overcome their problems in a short time, it depends on your circumstances.
I had seen my psychologist for a long time because after each week something new happened to me which kept me there, I couldn't find any coping measures.
You can't compare someone else in therapy to yourself, the degrees of depression vary and maybe you may consider seeing someone else.
I'm really sorry.
Geoff.
