Firstly Hello to you all, this is my first time posting here.
I am seeking some advice/help... I am 29 and a wife and mother to four, i find that i am constantly feeling angry and irritable even when i don't want to feel this way, certain things will really set me off such as kids screaming, loud tv, water dripping and people chewing gum. How do i overcome these feelings?

Hi TL, welcome
We can't diagnose of course as we arevmistly people with issues. However stress, anxiety, depression can expose itself in the way you describe.
Impatient in queues, crowds, heavy traffic, a burn out feeling, excess tiredness I've experienced these. Best to get a GP visit and have a chat.
Perhaps a camping trip might help. Google

Hey Tamara-Lee,
Welcome!
I've found with myself that if the symptoms you describe are happening, it can be something else that I'm angry about. It is usually even hidden from me and not found unless I talk to someone then it becomes clearer. Anxiety makes it worse for me as well.
With the kids to look after, it might be worth thinking about visiting your GP or a counsellor. They are both very good at helping with clarity.
Of course there are friendly ears here and we're happy to listen to anything you want to talk about.
Another thing that I've found with myself being grumpy and prickly is that the underlying issue that is making me upset can be an issue I don't want to admit or deal with - which adds frustration to the mix.
What are your thoughts?

Hi Paul,
I definitely need to go and see my GP as my kids don't deserve to have a grumpy mummy all the time.
I do feel that you may be right about the underlying issues. I had a very rough childhood but i put all of that in a closed door somewhere in my mind- maybe i never truly dealt with everything as when i get these feelings, nothing bad happened in my day to cause it.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the warm welcome... I often wonder if i am depressed . I go through moods of anger and irritability until i can't handle it anymore and break down into tears and don't feel like facing the world.
Will go and see my GP.

Hey Tam,
Sounds like a mixture of what my friend Tony has said and also related to what I described as well. So so glad you're going to visit the GP.
If your spouse is supportive, it might help to have a really good chat and describe where you are at emotionally. No surprises that way and there are also resources on here for those who love us to help us when were not feeling 100%.
Would love to know how you got with the GP and that you're OK Tam.
Paul
