Hello! I am new here. I hope I'm not a bother.

I dont know what to do, i dont want to talk to my friends and family about this hanging feeling in my chest triggered by these bad intrusive thoughts daily. I have bothered them enough simply by existing. someone recently put me down for the only thing that gave me pleasure and love, and before that i was feeling extremely down due to the fact i as moving to a new place, everything old and what i once loved is falling apart. i am stuck while the whole world is movie, i am only a teen, just turned 18, i still struggle on coping with my emotions...

im also afraid my friends will abandon me and my family, especially my mum, will not accept me for trying to seek help ie a therapist...can someone please help i beg you i tried everything this forum is probably my last effort, i have lost the will to find help. i am helpless.

thank you.

Hi navi,

Welcome to our friendly online community, we are so glad you decided to join us. We know it can be hard to share how you are feeling, so thank you for having the courage. We're sorry to hear that you're feeling that everything is falling apart. It can be tough learning to cope with new and strong emotions. We're sure that a lot of our community members will relate to these feelings and hopefully some of them will be able to offer you words of advice.

If you feel it may be helpful, you are always welcome to get in touch with Kids Help Line. They are a confidential and anonymous, telephone and online counselling service specifically for young people aged 25 and under.

If you are interested, we would also recommend getting in touch with an organisation called Headspace. Headspace is an organisation specifically for young people aged 12-25 and they offer a wide range of services including group programs.

Hi and welcome to beyond blue

firstly, you are certainly not a bother. 🙂

Moving can also be a stressful time as well. I have done it a few times in my life so far. And while the people around you might not think so (?) it is very courageous of you to seek help and to write a post here. Also know the people here are supportive and non-judgemental so you are most welcome to write what you want and what you are going through.

what was the thing that gave you pleasure and love?

You also mentioned you were concerned about abandonment because you did or wanted to get help from a therapist. Did something happen to you for you to have this thought?

There are many ways of deal with intrusive thoughts. You can find what other have done with a google search for

beyond blue intrusive thoughts

and many of the links on the first page of results will be links to other's stories in the forums. There is also a page here you might want to look at as well...

which might help you find things to be thankful for and help deal with the negative thoughts.
