I got to admit,I love reading at the best of times. Those of us who love to read tend to get the most out of books.I'm a big fan of books that I can learn from.Self help books, relationship books, etc. There's something worth learning.I even read up on dating books just to relearn some skills. As a guy I also love the guy stuff, cars, hobbies, interests, man cave, etc.
What book are you reading? What books are you reading? What helps you?
Thanks.

Hi Quirky...[I loved the movie Wild also)....Torch is the semi autobiographical story about Cheryl's mother's death at a young age...how she and her brother coped etc...[she explains in a Foreword) that some of it is fiction, but pretty close to what actually happend, which lead her to go on that trek in Wild...to work through her immense grief.
Tiny Beautiful Things are extracts from real Q and A column she wrote [for no pay) for a newspaper, answering all sorts of questions from readers in trouble. I love love love her writing...mainly because she is so HONEST and does not hold back with her opinions, while acknowledging she is floundering through this life just like the rest of us...a very brave woman, whose words have touched and perhaps saved many many people.

Thanks Moon for the review.
I will look up Torch and Tiny Beautiful Things. I felt a connection to her after listening to her radio interview.

Hello,
The library has been my saviour - online books borrowed for free.
My favourite Terry Pratchett - Monstrous Regiment.
Currently reading - Such a Fun Age - Kiley Reid.
- Olive - Emma Gammon.
- One Hundred Days - Alice Pung .
recommend - Ann Cleeves and Sue Grafton for thrillers/detective stuff.
Also My library has online audio books - I got through a bunch of Lee Child over the last year.
Highly recommend - Lovecraft Country - graphic novel.
Also - The Shelf by Helly Acton and The Mystery of Mercy Close - Marian Keyes.
non - fiction - F**k Happiness by Ariel Gore.
Books help me to get through stuff - also explain my own stuff to me sometimes.
Thanks for the thread.
