What Book/Books Are You Reading?

I got to admit,I love reading at the best of times.Those of us who love to read tend to get the most out of books.I'm a big fan of books that I can learn from.Self help books,relationship books,etc.There's something worth learning.I even read up on dating books just to relearn some skills.As a guy I also love the guy stuff,cars,hobbies,interests,man cave,etc.

What a lovely gift, smallwolf. I picked up Brene Brown's The Gifts of Imperfection at the bookshop the other day, but can't afford it atm.

I don't think you are old enough for The Weekend - my very active 72 year old friend recommended it - I think we older ones can chuckle at what it's like to get older, especially for women! Read it when you are a couple of decades older I think!

You are clearly very cultured Sleepy, that probably comes from your European heritage - you enjoy the arts, usually people who are like this are also sensitive - and I mean that as a compliment. Don't ever under-value yourself... you clearly respond to beauty and kindness and aesthetics... that kind of sensitivity is a great attribute. Don't ever put yourself down dear girl.

I love books and plays

I've always read and watched shows about ppl 20 to 30 years older than me lol I never feel my age

Maybe I should enjoy being in my 30s for a bit.... I think it was the melancholy part of me but I like reading books about aging and loss

I found the Charlotte Wood book lying on the street and took it home...It is good to be cultured and travel in our minds to different places etc. My grandfather was quite cultured and I did get books and thoughts from him - special man x

and she has another collection of essays - I can't remember the name is it it's all copy

or soething like that. She writes about getting older with humour. I liked Heartburn it was very funny!

as much as I like to have physical versions of books ... I am staring to like buying/having/reading kindle versions. Yes, they are cheaper but the only space they take up is whatever kindle does. And I can take them anywhere with me, like a virtual library.

As for the book you mention, I also have programs libby and overdrive on my tablet and many of her books I can borrow virtually from my library (as an ebook).

Nora Ephron's excellent screen writing has resulted in a number of superb well known Hollywood romantic movies...with top actors..very very talented writer for the screen..love her work.

There was a documentary called Everything is copy, by journalist Jacob Bernstein who co-directed this profile of his mother, the writer Nora Ephron.

Friends and family discuss the late Ephron's keen wit, her remarkable body of work -- which includes everything from newspaper columns to novels to plays to beloved movies such as When Harry Met Sally -- and her private battle with leukemia. The title comes from Nora Ephrons motto that everything is copy , she used her marriage break as basis for movie Heartburm.

In the end she chose keep her Leukemia private so many of her friends didnt know till the end.

But now that I remember it... in Heartburn the young mother had a little baby boy...

I loved the movie Michael which was Nora Ephron's work too. Nora Ephron was a columnist too I think, forget where for.. A talented lady!
