I got to admit,I love reading at the best of times. Those of us who love to read tend to get the most out of books.I'm a big fan of books that I can learn from.Self help books, relationship books, etc. There's something worth learning.I even read up on dating books just to relearn some skills. As a guy I also love the guy stuff, cars, hobbies, interests, man cave, etc.
What book are you reading? What books are you reading? What helps you?
Thanks.

Hi all
Just finished Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. A riveting psychological thriller centred around a murder. This book is not for the faint hearted. It's the kind of book where you have to read and think, read and think-- think constantly about the true meaning of the words and the author's intentions. Wouldn't try it pool side or before bed.
Having said that, well worth the effort. The way the author takes the main character, who is also the murderer, and transforms him from monster to victim is brilliant. And I enjoyed exploring the concept of salvation under the direction of such a skillful writer.

Dear Chloe_M and all~
Thank you for mentioning the Inheritance Cycle, I'm now on book 3 and enjoying it immensely.
The coming of age sword and sorcery genre is a favorite and the Cycle reminds me very much of The Magic Of Recluse series by L.E.Modessit Jr and also The Belgariad series by D&L Eddings.
Croix (who will look for that 5th book too when it comes out)

Haha yes, it is a wonderful book series. Did you know that Christopher Paolini (author) started writing Eragon when he was 15?! I'm 15 this year thats crazy!
I'm a fantasy lover through and through. I'll have a look for those others you mentioned 🙂

Hi
I’ve just finished reading ‘Never let me go’ by Kazuo Ishiguro - great book, the movie, as usual was a little lame.

Hi all
Just finished reading Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo, which was first published in 1939. It's a compelling story of a young WWI soldier who awakes in hospital only to learn that he has literally lost everything, except the ability to live the most tortured of lives. Bleak but thought provoking about the real cost of war. Old but unfortunately still relevant today.

I have just read ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’ I didn’t think I could read this kind of book but I read it in a day, I couldn’t stop reading it.
Based on a true story. I had tears of sadness and happiness after finishing.
