The Transcendent Rainbow Cafe - social space for LGBTI members

It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

We just need a name 🙂

Hey MsP;

I don't have a problem with putting LGBTI+ pinned threads in 3 sections; depression/suicide, Staying well and Welcome/orientation. As gay+ members, it's easy for me to do a check-in each day, and let others know if helps needed.

Each section represents really important aspects relating to individuals, but would still give the option of starting their own thread.

What do you think? Anyone else?

Sorry I've been absent. First for good reasons and then not so good. Transition doesn't solve your world. (Stuff for another day).

I think I separate pinned thread or whatever works with the forums... where ppl can post more-than-social stuff, is an excellent idea and unfortunately I think it will be needed more and more in the months ahead. I've actually felt this need myself before but there will be a greater need in the months ahead. I learned the other day that the survey responses aren't due back until November, and by then Parliament will have risen for the summer so this debacle is going to continue into next year. People will need a safe place to get support. It's already beyond what I can say in words.

Ok so I did it. I made a more question based/ serious converstation LGBT+ thread under staying well. I am kinda annoyed at myself. I read it so many times before posting it and once it was up I found a few typos. Damn you dyslexia!

anyways please come say hi to me on this page. I would find it very helpful to have people help with answering questions as I definatley don't know everything. I just thought it would be good to have a friendly person to show we understand.
