The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

So pleased to meet you here! 😺 If only there were 'Crocs' for cat feet, I'd have two pairs of each colour, & then love to put some of those jibbitz all over them & then prance around the BB Cafe for all to see! 

For now, though, I'm getting into singing Xmas songs. Finding some on Youtube. Still looking for more jazzy versions to sing along with, whether or not I remember all the words. If I sing in Cattish no-one will know what words I'm singing anyway, so I'll just make up words of my own.

Nice to meet you thisismetrying, 

Ooh I love bling, the way it sparkles in the sun or in a well lit room, it’s like the stars have dropped from the sky and embedded themselves in clothing, shoes, hair clips etc….

Was thinking that maybe bling on food, would not only look good but taste good to…..but would depend on what the bling is made of…so I tried it out😁..

I have brought in some strawberries with little pieces of edible crystals stuck all over them, also I brought in a trifle, with lots of different coloured shiny jelly pieces mixed through it…looks nice and tastes even better.. 🕶 need your sunnies though, it’s sparkles so much😂😂..when the sun hits it…

I watched miracle on 34th street last night, the original…tonight I am going to watch it’s a wonderful life….you tube have some wonderful classic Christmas movies if you search for them….What’s your favourite Christmas movie?…

Hello everyone.   every year there are several threads on the topic Christmas.  This year all  I can find is Christmas Dread from last year with contributions written at the end of 2022....are there any I can read or contribute to......recent posts from others who may share feelings and reactions to this time of year the same as my own.?   Or just how they cope with or why they feel the way they do about the season and what happens every year etc......can you point me in right direction for recent Xmas threads please?

I've seen your thread, Paws, & it's a great idea. 

I have mixd feelings about Xmas / New year myself. Even though I have some strong misgivings about it, how it's hyped & sold to us as something we must do,  while there are so many suffering around the world, I will be doing things I like, & maybe even bringing a smile to some people's faces in the process.

I like toto think this time of year need not be the worst time of year for us, but rather, getting into some of the silliness & indulging our taste buds a little, maybe enjoying a movie, a song or two, even on our own, doing these things can lift the mood, bring a smile to our faces & lighten our hearts at least for a while. We can actually take a break, too, from working so hard to improve our mental health - & in doing so, we just might improve our mental health.

Thoughts anyone?

My favorite Christmas movie (as well as the classics) is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation....Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo trying to have a traditional family Christmas...and it all fails when the relatives arrive !
