The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay

Thanks Paws. I thought I would like a small roll with my lunch of salad which I make to take with me when I go to Sporting Wheelies. Buying lunch every time I go out is too expensive. So, on the days I will be out morning, lunch & into the afternoon, I want to take lunch with me.

I would have liked to do that today, too, since deciding  I needed to do some shopping for new bike pants (for swimming), & jeans (I really am wanting a smaller size). I was up too late, actually sleeping in.

Schnozbops to Woofa, hugzies to you.

Good evening everyone 🌙

How are you Mekitty

how goes it all?

Just doing some reading here - had a good day out

Hams is on a role. and feeling better

Gonna light up a fire and see who is about here hey.

HOw are you all ?

Thank you, OTR & Hams, for asking.

I'm happy to hear how you are, too.

I'm okay, just tired & I know this week won't be easy because of things I have to do, appointments phone calls to make, rather like last week.

I will have some time while exercising to not be thinking about those things & just focusing on the exercise. That will help.

Lately I've been listening to Terry Pratchett's & Stephen Baxter. I'm nearing the end & wondering what to listen to next.

I tried a birdsong audio, which began to play early this morning. It, happily, had no ads, but was quiet compared to the book reading which had finished with loud music, waking me up moments before.

My mind could chatter at me, though, overriding the birds chirping.

Then, when I went back to sleep it didn't stop me remembering a little of a dream.

Today I've spent quite a while writing an email to someone I know, in response to their own email about social problems they are having. I can only hope what I wrote was okay, even, maybe helpful.

I haven't yet baked any of the roll. I put four in the freezer. I would like to do that tomorrow evening when I return from my Hydrotherapy, have put the clothes in the wash, then the dryer, had a shower too, when it's getting time for dinner, that's when I will bake a couple of them.

Then I could have one with dinner & one with Tuesday's lunch.

I think having a toasty warm fireplace might not work for me. Firstly, I'd like to roast mmMarshmallows all night long, or, I'd get very dozy curling up in a chair right in front of it & not get anything done.

Looked a lot like it would rain today - maybe tomorrow? That's what the Bureau of Meteorology reckons for me. As long as my shoes don't get saturated, I'll be okay if it does.

I've tried baking the rolls, acouple times. First I just place two on a piece of baking paper, on a tray. They became dark & crispy on the bottom but were still very pale on top. My support worker suggest wrapping them in foil. That didn't work either.

The rolls are dense. They were edible. I enjoyed one still hot from the oven.

It was good having one with my lunch Tuesday.

I've decided to get a few things using my NDIS funding. One is a Talking Microwave, with convection & grill features, & some auto-cook settings - on sale too! Still, comparitively expensive, but I need one that talks to me. It will also turn itself off when the cooking is done. That's good, too, because I've forgotten to turn off the stove a few times now.

I'm looking forward to using it.

I am unable to book a time & day for delivery, so, I only hope it arrives when I am home.

The weather is still pretty good here, especially when the wind is low, just not a lot of sun is all.

Big happy welcome to new members!

Hugzies for everyone.

If I get these bread rolls right, there will be plenty to share.

mmMekitty,

Having an appliance that tells you when it's time to turn it off would be amazing - I've forgotten to switch off the sandwich press a few times, and even that's stressful.

Baking is always good fun, even if it goes awry, I suppose it's a way to know how to do it better for next time. How do you eat your rolls? I know I like eating mine with butter, or I'll add in things like lettuce and cheese.

What's everyone having for lunch today? I'll bring some bread and veggies to the BB Café so we can all snack on some sandwiches, burgers, or rolls together!

I had salad, but I'm a little peckish now so I would like eggs on toast, & later I'll have some soup. Including my breakfast of muesli with some fruit (from frozen) tossed in, that makes four modest meals today. I am really trying to not have large meals, because they leave me feeling so bloated I just about feel physically sick.

I'll be making room for my new kitchen buddy due to arrive next week. I'll have to put away a few things, like the electric jug, which I seldom use, my mini mixer & mini food processor, ( I guess it is called that), My dishwashing liquid which I want very handy will have to go on the other side of my dish drainer.

Hmm...what else is there?

Oh, yeah, the little caddy for other things like a sponge - not sure I want to keep that anyway...

If I throw it, I may suddenly want it, eh? Isn't that how it always goes?

Thanks SB for the fresh vegies & bread. They are delicious.

It was lovely to get a couple hours of sun today, around lunchtime, then again, another hour in the afternoon. I heard magpies near by. I love their melodic song.

My computer's been running slow recently...

How's everything going folks...

Mekitty, I'm the one who easily gets bloated if I ate too much or too fast, I heard that prunes are pretty helpful in these situations

What special on the menu recently, I find myself start eating more pumpkin than before

Hello everone, & OTR. Good to see you again.

Yeah, prunes for sure, sometimes. Usually I think my problem is that the meal or two in a day is too big, too much carbohydrate, maybe not even wholemeal, or it's that there was too many chick peas (that will do it), or too much sweet potato, & I think pumpkin may be a problem for me too, so you can have all my pumpkin, OTR, no worries! It is a good source of fibre,& vitamin A, & maybe more than that, I'm guessing. But when I try to eat a little, like a few square cms of it, I feel bloated afterwards.

Lots of cheese is also not a good idea, for me, but I like it so much - but now it's getting expensive to buy, so I will use that knowledge to reduce how much cheese I have.

Today was so lovely outdoors, it was sad to have to spend so much of it indoors.

I went for a little shopping early, & had purchased a couple chicken teriyaki rolls for a partial lunh. I was then feeling anxious to get home early enough to unwind & feel prepared to call my PDr, then, I had wanted some salad.

However, other things  were happening, phone calls & such, which took too long.

So tonight I've had my vegies which I cooked in my new microwave.

It's going to take a while getting used to using my new microwave. I haven't had one for twenty-five years or so. & this one talks & has more buttons than the old one I used to have.

Well, tomorrow may be a few degrees cooler, but still sunny where I am. Hope everyone is keeping as well as you can, warm as needed, too.

We can always have our imaginary cocoa with mmMarshmallows bobbing, fizzing & melting on top. Yum!
