The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hello everyone,
I just finished off cooking my cauliflower, flour, egg abundant bread crumbs deep fried…they turned out so yummy…Hmm I tried a few as I was cooking them…now I’m full…😂😂..so I brought a big container loaded with them for you all to try….I do hope you like them..
Im sitting out front now, wow the sun is so therapeutic, it’s just the right temperature to sit in it and not overheat…cool though when the clouds cover the sun…strange isn’t it how immediately the sun disappears how the heat instantly goes with it….
Does anyone make there own bread?….I remember back in the late 70’s their was a shortage of bread for many months and it was my first attempt at making some…it did turn out a bit dense but still okay…I’m thinking I might give it another try tomorrow…if it turns out okay, I might try baking cheese and bacon rolls….which are my favourite…
Enjoy your day everyone, hugs everyone with my best wishes..
Grandy..

Hi all,
Thx Paul. I have bought mini chicken kievs. Bite sized.
Grandy, I have a bread maker. It was my Mum's & I used to use it a bit. Have you tried making bread rolls with natural Greek yoghurt & flour? You can make them in an air fryer. They are yum & so easy.

Hello everyone,
No, I haven’t tried making bread that way..I’ll google and check it out…Are the bread makers easy to use?….Ive not had one of those…thank you so much for letting me know about the yogurt/flour bread….I really do appreciate you sharing that..
No motivation for bread making today🙃…but it’s still in my thoughts to do it soon…
Enjoy your day, whether it’s cold, rainy, windy or sunny…it’s your day to do whatever you feel to do…😁🌈…I’m cleaning a bit today, washing a bit and going to rest up a lit😁…
Hubgs everyone…🤗.

Hello Grandy, CMF, Paul & everyone
I haven't found out enough about bread making, the bread making machines, or air fryers either.
However, I hav tasted some spring rolls made in an air fryer & they were the best I've ever eaten. If I had an air fryer I'd be tempted to try the chicken & garlic balls or mini Mini Chicken Kiev, just to get them to cook evenly brown & crunchy all over.
I think I'd also would like some crumbed cauliflower.
Today, for lunch, I made a mix of finely chopped lettuce, a lump of spinach from frozen, cut into a few smaller lumps, a couple eggs, some Dukka mix a little salt too, mixed with bite-size pieces of multigrain bread. The sliced bread I use is not big or thick so I could use 2 slices. The mix is not dripping everywhere, but if you want to either only use one slice of bread or more egg, have fun!
I put the mix into a heated frypan on my stove, little under medium heat, & spread it out so all the pieces were in contact with the frypan's surface & ther wer not big gaps.
When that side cooks to my liking, I turn it & add some grated tasty cheese. Then put a lid over to help get the cheese melting. When the 2nd side is cooked enough, it's time to eat.
It was very yummy, like a sort of savoury French Toast in pieces. Adding cheese seems an essential ingredient to me, especially the crispy cheesy bits.
I'm enjoying you, Grandy, getting outside, enjoying the sun & wanting to do do things again. It's so great, isn't it?

Hi Kitty Grandy CMF and everyone.
New posters are always welcome in the Cafe. Its a great thread to 'test the water' and have some light conversation about any subject you wish.
Im Paul, a volunteer on the forums...I was welcomed in the Cafe back in 2016 as I didnt have the confidence to post on heavy duty threads at the time. There are many super caring members here that can be here for you!
I hope everyone is doing okay 👍

Hello Dear mmMeKitty, Paul CMF and everyone……🤗.
I was gifted an air fryer a few years ago, when I first used it, it was for tiny baby potatoes, large mushrooms, pumpkin and a carrot all…It was super yummy, I must have had that meal 5 days straight….I had to use up the foods before they were wilting 😁🤣…Mostly now I use it for small baked meals for one…it is really a great gadget to have….it’s really just a tiny oven, with a fancy name🙃..
I tried making some bread…umm I’m definitely not a bread baker…The birds enjoyed it though…🤣😂…hopefully they didn’t break their pretty beaks…Think I’ll stay clear of pastry and bread cooking….
Its been really cold here this week…hibernating while at home all wrapped up like a cocoon under my doona….days are averaging 11-13…nights -3 to 0… My poor fur babies water freezes every night….As does the water in the bird bath…….Isn’t winter a beautiful time of year….I do love the way the frost glistens when the sun rises, oh, and travelling to work the mountains looks beautiful when the fog is midway up the mountains….and you can see the top of the mountain with the fog just lingering around it…
I drove a water truck in to the cafe’s pergola area…instead of water it’s filled with Pea n Ham soup, Pumpkin soup, Vegetable soup, Chicken noodle soup and any other soup that you enjoy…also plenty of toasted croutons to add as well…
I am going to make a hot chocolate now and pop a few marshmallows into it….I left plenty behind in our cafes kitchen…enjoy..
Hugs everyone..
Grandy..

Hello everyone!
Lovely soup in a truck! That's wonderful, Grandy.
Oh, dear, I have just realised, I left my oven on after cooking up my tomato with pasta bake, (with quality mince, some herbes too. After cooking I add the fried onion & lightly fried capsicum strips, then the cheese. Then I ate the lot & only now have i thought, did I turn off the oven?
Looks like I need reminders for that now, too, does it? That's a worry mmMekitty, i thought.
As Grandy has reminded me, there are some lovely things about freezing winte months. I can recall ice frozen into beautiful patterns on the window, when I was little, & we had snow where I lived. I loved the look of the snow covered world, (as far as I was imagining at the time, it was the whole world covered in snow). I loved the late night quiet as well, not even insect sounds... nothing but the occasional passing car.
Wonder if there are any battery or solar powered water bowls out there, which would keep the water warm enough to not freeze?
I tried to do a real push-up today, which was only partially successful, but at least I was on my hands & toes. I just couldn't bend my arms to push myself up & down. That's an improvement on not being able to hold myself up off the floor at all! One day I will be doing proper push-ups.
I'm trying to have an early night tonight, so I'll say "Goodnight" now, everyone.
Hugzies

Hey mmekitty
Pasta bake with tomato sounds delightful. Care to share the recipe?
Today was a day off. Went to see a film with a friend. Was good. Fast X
Wanted to read in the coffee shop today but I didn't work out because it was too noisy. Ended up just going to a park and looking at the water. Did a voice memo on my phone. Its a good outlet tbh.
Gonna go gp in a few mins - my throat be sore
Work has got me down a bit with radical changes they have bought in. But here i am in the Cafe minding my business. Throwing some old papers on the fire. Maybe something will rise from the ashes anew?
See you about !

The weather continues to be comparatively wonderful where I am, so, spending time in a park sounds wonderful, HamSolo (!!!I've just realised i've misunderstanding what your name is, mis hearing my PC's voice, misreading even when zoomed, that there is an 'm' where I thought there was an 'n' all the time I've known you!! [LRC blushes red, under the red fur]
No recipe, HamSolo, I wing it & guess to feed one, but sometimes I think in the back of my mind, I am feeding the BB Cafe & make heaps.
I over do the pasta so far. I'm not sure how long to leave the meal in the oven. Then I go & get sidetracked, like I know I shouldn't, & lose track of the time anyway
& now I"ve forgotten to turn off the oven (last night), I think I ought to stick more to stove top cooking. It's easier to notice if I forget to turn off a stove ring.
Papers? What sort of papers? [LRC grins] Maybe they are work related papers?
I hope you & your sore throat feel better soon.
Hugzies
